Can't believe I forgot about David Pollack...who came in as a very lightly recruited fullback, then switched to DE where he became UGA's 2nd 3-time all american as well as a 1st round draft pick.

I mean two years is a long time at a position. He got handoffs in games. It wasn't like he changed positions during August of his freshman year.

Totally forgot about Tanny. Did he have a better career than Blake?

Statistically, he broke over half of A&M's quarterback records...until some midget from Kerrville came in.

Yeah, Ryan Tannehill is clearly a more successful position change. Dude is actually a decent NFL starter at his new position.

Derrick Thomas was recruited to Alabama as a punter.

Does that count?

Agreed. Didn't know why I missed him. Probably because he never played against the SEC. He killed it yesterday for the Fins

George Herman Ruth. Quit pitching and had a solid career as a fielder.

He was good for us. Maybe never had a season as good as what blake had, he turned the ball over his senior year, but he also never had amari cooper

He's having a solid pro career though

I'd say that worked out pretty damn well

are we discounting the fact that he was a 4* dual threat quarterback coming out of high school and pretending like he had been a running back all of his life? He only played two years at rb at Bama right? Was a QB the rest of his life?

Are we pretending this entire board wasn't convinced Kiffin was the worst hire ever and the best Blake Sims would ever be was the QB we saw during the spring game?
