Tennessee tries their best with Manning. But I don't know any Tennessee fans who are now "Broncos fans". They cheer for him, but they keep their same team

It is kind of weird- the sudden die-hard fandom of the Panthers. I've heard college fans say they're fans of a player on a team, but I don't think I've ever heard of college fans becoming fans of an NFL team simply because one single player is on it.

100% agree. Will these "Panthers" fans remain fans if Cam is traded?

He was there for a total of one semester in 2010. He didn't graduate.

No, actually two semesters. Yes, he didn't graduate that year, had this little thing called the NFL draft to deal with.

He did however go back and finish classes over a period of 3 years since hes been in the NFL.

And he graduated.

It was a helluva a series, but figured they would have let it go by now.

Wasn't sure if he went Summer or not so I erred on the conservative side.

Couple things

1) There are a number of Auburn people who were Panthers fans pre-Cam. Charlotte boomed as a southern city with strong business ties in the last couple decades, so it's only natural you see more of its influence in SEC schools. We had a surge of Charlotte area kids in my fraternity in the mid-2000s. Point being, there are a number of legit Panther fans among Auburn fans (I'm not one).

2) For those who are supporting Carolina just for Cam, no, why would they stay Carolina fans? It's not that weird to me that people without an NFL team would gravitate toward one that is successful and has a potentially iconic and supremely talented player at the helm.

Yes we will... He has a statue outside the stadium, he graduated from Auburn, he is the best football player I have ever seen.

I agree, but Cam isn't your everyday player. He may be the greatest Athlete of our generation.

He's the best player in his league, you would to if you had a player like him.

Solid answer. So the people that fall in bucket 2 will just trash their panther hoodies and hats and pick up Buffalo Bills shite (hypothetically speaking).

No other team has had a rented mule as good as Cam to ride.

Your jealousy is noted.

Alabama is the best CFB program in the country, but the fans have some major penis envy of Auburn over Cam.

Ole Miss with Eli Manning.

Hell, Cam won a Heisman and lead them to an undefeated national championship season. Any fanbase that had him would be riding him

Sure they do. Did you see the Petersen thread asking people to stop bashing him?

That was awesome.
