I MIGHT be wrong on this, but I think in OTHER conferences (maybe in the SEC, now) you can be a professional in one sport while playing another sport in college. Seems like there have been college football players that have played minor league baseball at the same time.

That said, Gurley knew the rules and chose to break them. Whether we agree with those rules doesn't matter. Hopefully we cn still beat Florida and Kentucky and he can come back against Auburn.

I know Colorado has had 2-3 guys who played football and did Olympic Skiing. Don't know if they got paid.

And of course Russell Wilson played baseball in the summer between his last year at NC State and his year at Wisconsin, didn't he?

4 games for $3,000 over multiple years seems pretty fair to me in comparison to previous punishments.

AJ Green got 4 games for $1,000. He got fricked.

The fact that Jameis the Rapist was still playing after he allegedly signed crap for what was it around $9k.. is stupid.

Glad Gurley is back this is his last season in college, let him enjoy it and break some necks before the draft

YOu have literally no idea if that is true. That's what we thought, based on what BA's lawyer said, but we have no idea what else UGA found. The whole reason our investigation took so long was likely because of checking on these "other" dealers.

You really think UGA would request reinstatement knowing it would be a 4 game suspension anyway?

Green was less than forthcoming and truthful in his issue

I think it'd affect if they played college baseball, but I could be wrong. russell wilson is one of the most recent examples, obviously.

Pretty much, although I do want to see a change in the rules at some point.

Which, as anyone with experience with the NCAA knows, is about the worst thing you can do.

Fight the NCAA? Fine, but you better have all your bases covered or else you fricked.

WRONG.

Green was investigated for the party in Miami over Memorial Day. We proved he was in South Carolina. When asked where the $1000 came from in his bank account, he told the truth that he sold it to a buddy's friend from NC. Green had no idea that that guy had ONE TIME run a dude to the NFL...

You won't need him vs UK. Just run on every play and you'll be fine. Unless of course you all want to rest Chubb for the Auburn game, that would be fine with me.

Hasn't paid it back.

I'm sure he saved all that money he received, don't you think?

Not sure how it will be paid, above board that is.

So the crime is only a problem if you cover it up?

That explains why Marcel Dareus only received 2 games.
