Oh I know. But unless something has changed, it looks like Shaka might end up at Texas. He was waiting on the right job. Which is the same thing I'd think Marshall is doing, and Bama wasn't that for him. Which was essentially my point.

Hey, your AD took the shot. It was still the right call, and it shows that Alabama is serious about doing something with basketball.

Well that is far from... "he's being paid like he's at a high profile P5 school". He is holding out for a top tier job. I would bet good money he has turned down significant raises from school's he feels like it would be an uphill battle to coach at.

It's not far from P5 high profile pay. It's certainly in p5 pay range.

Jesus, Battle is royally screwing up this search. He fired Grant during the season for a reason....to be first in line. Then he waits around 2 weeks on a pipe dream while MSU, Tennessee, ASU, Texas, and now possibly Florida and even UK may open up. Now the realistic guys like Archie Miller are saying "let's wait a while."

You have a 5 million dollar budget to hire a basketball coach. What more do you need to land someone besides a spoiled kid with a famous last name?
