I still say he's holding out for that Indiana opening after Crean shits the bed again next season.

You could be right, but he is still an unabashed attention whore.

Wouldn't be surprised. To be honesn't the SEC is getting better in BBall.

At the amount Bama offered he would be at least top 4 in the SEC in BBall coaches pay. Cannot find legit numbers but if Mike Anderson is making 2.3 Coaches pay in the tourny that 4 million number is at least Billy D's number.

How many years does it take to build a BBall program with 3-4 scholarships a year? Probably 3-4 years unless you are UK. Would Bama accept 3 years at 4 mil a year with no tourney appearance?

Plain and simple this is a career move, not because he loves Wichita, but because he wants to move above that.

In these sort of situations, I always think about whomever brought up the scoreboard and if I would trade places with you or not. And the answer is no, I would much rather be a fan of Auburn basketball than Bama basketball right now.

This guy is something special, turning down a top 15 program, and all.

How is it smart to take a pay cut of close to a mil to stay at a school where the athletes won't come to get you over the Final 4 hump?

Someone failed economics class huh?

You will one day learn what that means. Trust me. He has a great thing going in Wichita, his family loves it there, and he is making 3.3M. Settle down or I will get Foster to greet you like a kick returner should.

How quickly you forget that the vast, vast majority of coaches are not robots like Saban, who optimize every aspect of their existence to perform at the highest level. Most are people, balding and bumbling around with families and lifestyles and weird little habits, just trying to get along and just be happy with their outcome. Throwing money at coaching problems goes only so far.
