It's bammer's alumni club that is responsible for $100 dollar handshakes and recruiting.

You can search the tiger rant for the research. My post was based on actual analysis. Based on a review of all other crews, his calls the most penalties on LSU, and it's not even close. That's as simply as it can be stated, and it should at least make LSU fans' opinion of him seem slightly more reasonable.

And since he is a good ref what is wrong with any of that?

OP,
Read this excellent analysis:

quote:

Hmm. Now that is unexpected. Ritter hammers LSU in every game EXCEPT the Alabama game. Even more interesting, the penalty margin isn't helping all that much. LSU is 6-1 in games Ritter officiated since 2012, and the one game the Tigers lost, they held the edge in penalties.

I don't doubt the veracity of this research. It may very well be true

And if the research is true, an opinion based upon said research would be perfectly reasonable. What isn't reasonable is the whole "Bammer grad, REC checks cashed, daughter goes to school there" conspiracy bullshite which, I'll grant you, a lot of us laugh and make jokes about.

But you can't deny that there are some propeller-heads on this very board who actually believe this shite.

Around my house, Ritter is known as "Cockeyed Junior". He is despised by all and his ability to influence the outcome of games is very real. Im sure he has a little something for LSU he has been saving. When he sees his chance, he will serve it up with some stank on it! He is very patient and will only strike a blow when the time is right!

The play has brought added criticism on the SEC, which has been heavily scrutinized this season. The troubles started with a crew getting suspended for two personal foul penalties over three weeks that the SEC said should not have been called.

Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino was reprimanded for publicly criticizing officials. Mississippi State's Dan Mullen and Lane Kiffin followed suit -- Kiffin also suggested the SEC office favors Alabama and Florida -- and received reprimands, too. SEC Commissioner Mike Slive then put fines and suspensions in play for publicly criticizing officials. Florida coach Urban Meyer received the first fine last week, getting docked $30,000 for complaining about a no-call.

Well if Lane Kiffin said it, while coaching at Tennessee, it must be true

The data seems to indicate that Ritter loves to throw flags on LSU. He has also been involved in some very controversial calls over the years (not all in LSU games BTW). I think he went to Rice, which means he is certainly smart enough to understand the impact of his actions.

Some LSU fans get overly butt hurt about the Peterson INT that was clearly a catch. I think a lot of the hatred comes from that one play.

Last year vs Bama when the Kicker kicked it out of bounds in the 4th quarter.

Well Ritter announced and vegas line jumps to 6.5 immediately.

His crew could not spot a holding call if they put the whole thing in a yellow box. Watch the Mississippi State game versus UK. Even the announcers were talking about olineman tackling people and it not being called.

He also calls more penalties on LSU than any other crew.

Only thing I know for sure is he went to a class or two at Ole Miss and had some bad dental work by some guy named Billy while he was at angola.
