What affects UT's recruiting is not Les, but the many bagmen who supply the incentive to leave the state.

I normally don't care about your whole bit, but this time I hope you are right.

I wonder what the motive was. I mean why single out Texas?

Calling out then University of Texas, but getting himself photographed with pro mascots in the state of Texas?

It means only one thing. Les is setting himself up to take the Cowboys job after Garret gets fired this year.

Sorry LSU. He gone.

I thought aTm was so proud of their military affiliation. Why discount those years?

Les only goes places he can succeed. The Cowboys will never succeed while Jerry Jones is GM and I'm pretty sure that guy is going to find a way to survive forever.

We don't, our three national titles came from that period.

Well one person certainly is discounting those years. Or he's just hand picking years to appease himself. Or making excuses. Either way, he's an idiot.

because being proud of your military tradition doesn't mean you can be proud of how it handicapped your football program for years after the war

I think we can all agree that the poster I was responding to is making excuses.

Our national titles come pre war when our type of school was the norm. We could compete then. It wasn't until after the war when these large powerful state schools starting really taking place and we didn't change. So yea, our success when we were an all male military college came when that was the norm. When that stopped being the norm post war, it greatly handicapped us

So your losing record against LSU is due to the war?

That's what I was initially referring to.

Correction: LSU beat LSU. Mississippi just happened to be in attendance.

Anyway...great burn by Les Miles.

It really is a solid recruiting jab, and it's funny...

Also tons of LSU alum in Houston. Houston is pretty much an A&M/LSU city

I could be wrong, but I think we have more alum in Dallas.

how did you get this from what I said? what I said was, while other universities grew and became larger public universities, ours didn't. other schools had much more resources than we did and could use those to their advantage when there were no limits on scholarships offered or limits to how many people you could have on a team. back when Darryl royal was coaching, texas would have over 100 people on their team and we would have like 50

yes, you responded to an aggie who made a comment about why our head to head record with texas is so lopsided

you did when you were talking about how you thought we were proud of military background and why we would want to not count those years
