Those comments to USC and Big 12 were made to prove a point about a certain topic. This comment about Texas just came out of the blue. I wonder what the motive was. I mean why single out Texas?

Maybe he's trying to recruit more heavily in The Great State?

Pic from tonight's Astros/Rangers game:

Orbit welcomed LSU football coach Les Miles to Minute Maid Park for tonight's Astros-Rangers game. Geaux Astros!

Why not. They are the richest college football team. Les competes with them for Texas kids and they can't even get a player drafted. No reason for them to be a target at all.

I would think he could get the same message across to recruits through personal conversations. No need to blast it on twitter

Hey look they wear hats the same way

I agree. I don't like when coaches or players speak publicly about things like this. I can't stand Rex Ryan for this reason. I don't have a huge problem with this situation because he kind tiptoed around the insult. It was pretty subtle. But I would rather he not say anything at all about this stuff.

Coach Miles did not put put this out on twitter. He was speaking at an LSU Alumni Event in Houston. It makes perfect sense when one considers his audience and the location.

We are very fortunate to have players drafted in NFL
We are. Just stating a fact.

some universities in Texas aren't so fortunate
Clearly he's just concerned for Texas.
Seriously though, I know It's obvious he's talking about Texas, but it's not like he said "frick Texas" or "Texas sucks at developing players", which we all know is true. IMO, it was an insult, but a subtle one.

Auburn23..
Get your facts straight, A&M leads in the series since we quit being an all male military School..
Plus scholly limits went into effect in 74-75
Your bias is showing again

Thanks,

Just noticed I left out the not and edited my post. Then saw you had copied my mistake, and later corrected.

I guess Les prefers to play teams that can beat Oklahoma.
