People under the age of 20 constantly say stupid shite. This should be a non story.

It's obviously going to catch backlash in 2023. It's also clearly not racism. Anyone saying such doesn't know what racism actually is.

Come on, man at best Kirby will likely run him and probably some other things because it's on the front page news.
Have you all seen the **** online these days, that is nothing.
Georgia fans defending one of their own. News at 11. If this were an Auburn player, the tone would be different. I am Asian, and do not GAF, except the double standards are a bit annoying

I just hope he doesn't get his arse kicked by his asian teammates.

I don’t think he’s 19. He’s a January enrollee, most kids his age are just about to graduate HS. He said something stupid.

People do not like double standards. There was recently a white high school qb whose scholarship offer was withdrawn because he did a social media post singing to a rap song that had the n word. A second offer was also withdrawn by a black HBCU coach after he was pressured to do so. So a high school kid being a high school kid is severely punished for what seemed to be an innocent action, even if arguably a mistake, but a black college player makes a remark that can be seen a racist gets a pass. In neither case should the person’s life be ruined by overreactions. But skin color seems to be all some people care about and it results in a double standard. Just treat like cases alike.

Social media should come with a set of instructions. The things some folks post is just asking for it whether it’s this type of remarks or many other bad decisions.

If the Useful Idiots had their way, he would be condemned to an indoctrination camp until he thought and spoke the way they think he should.

Yeah, folks with a firm grasp of reality will go out and buy a product and video themselves destroying said product to let other folks know just how disgusting the actions of the company which makes said product are in their opinion...that, I think, is the picture in the Websters next to "sane" and "rational"...
For me the point is businesses and entertainers should keep their business and their politics separate. Do they have a right to voice their politics and opinions? tes. Is it a smart thing to do? No.
I want my entertainers to entertain. Sing. Act. Play your sport. They can air out their agenda if they want, and i can choose not to watch/listen/buy their product if I choose because i disagree.
It's just smart not to push an agenda on your customer/fan base. Let them form their opinions and have them and the businesses/entertainers can form and have their opinions, but they should not try to force them on others through advertising.
People have criticized Christians for decades for "forcing" their opinions/lifestyle on people who do not want to hear them, yet we are supposed to applaud and support entertainers and businesses for doing that and more? Seems oddly hypocritical. Christians are told they should not try to influence legislation based upon their beliefs yet entertainers and businesses are given a pass?
Stay in your lane.
Actors should act. Singers should sing. Businesses should put a product out. If they choose to try to influence me socially or politically that is fine, but don't cry when consequences come down and I decide not to go to your movies, listen to your music or buy your product.

Kid has been told by society for his entire life that he can’t be racist. What do we expect.
The fact that he said it should surprise no one. The fact that he posted himself saying it shows me that he expects no backlash because he’s been told he can’t be racist.
We all make off color comments at some point but most of us would not post it.
I’m a black man and I think the claim that black people can’t be racist is one of the most illogical double standards in existence. It just makes no sense.

He said, "Come on Ching Chong ..."
That's like saying "Come on Jose Martinez ..." or "Come on Shawnquavious Jackson ..." or "Come on Adam Smith ..."
It's a made up Chinese name. Is it stereotypical? Maybe. But on no way is it racist. He didn't say the dude was a piece of shite for being Asian. Or say he was less of a person for being Asian. He have him a stereotypical name and everyone has their panties in a bunch because that's what we do these days.
