Time will tell but I think some dawg fans are going to get really frustrated with his strange play calling in the second half and on short yardage.

A) it's rare that Arkansas signs a 2 star.
B) 5 players from the 2014 offense will be drafted this year. Maybe more in the future. With this talent and a top 10 defense, Arkansas lost 6 games.
C) enjoy not scoring in the 4th. Enjoy double reverses inside the 10. There was a reason there were multiple weekly "fire Chaney" threads on our board.

The gamecocks saw this and immediately took a different direction.

A quick search yields ZERO such posts either here or on Arky's board. What am I missing?

Yeah he only finished the season #1 in the NCAA in QBR and 6th in yards per attempt.

I think the problem in this thread is that the Georgia fans think we are attacking them and their school. We aren't. We were going to lose Pittman sooner or later and I think most of us accepted that, the guy likes to move around.

What we are is baffled. Look, maybe Chaney will slip in the shower, suffer major head trauma, and somehow wake up as a better OC... but we are telling you flat out Chaney is not that good at his job.

That is not just the way Arkansas fans think about him. He's had fairly meh results at UT, Arkansas, and Pitt. This may come as a shock to you but all three schools put some pretty good talent on the field.

Chaney is who he is, he will come up with a good game plan and when the other team makes the inevitable adjustments he will freeze like a deer in the headlights. Or a moose in the headlights to be more precise. He panics and abandons the running game in the second half even when its working.

Maybe he won't while he's with Georgia. I'm just saying that when three different fan bases concur about a former coach at their school they just might be on to something.

I've read a lot of UT fans' thoughts that don't concur.

Georgia is flush.

The SECN is going to make all the colleges ballers.

The Chaney hire is a mystery, except as a lure to get Pittman. Seems like it all cancels out.

funny, because i remember ut fans in our game threads commiserating with us when the blatantly idiotic calls were happening saying they knew how it was and it was the same with them when he was there.

If I was a UT fan I'd be talking up Chaney and how wonderful he is too. They play Georgia every year after all. If I thought it would help to lure him to an SEC West team I'd start talking about how wonderful Chaney is.

Because what their fans write on message boards will affect other schools hiring said coach.

Does not matter if a coach is great or mediocre.

With the inflation and coaching salary bubbles, soon 1 mil will probably be standard for an average OC in the SEC.

Crazy times.

We had a worse OC than Chaney this year and still won 10 games.

Why do the pigs seem to give such a shite?

I see some are forgetting the time of year...you might want to sit this one out if you are already getting rustled on 1/11.
