Alabama is a different team now.

They flat out sucked to begin the year. Give em D’s.

They’re better now and better than what they showed in the SECCG.

So apparently Alabama played bad to start the season and played bad to end the season (played its C game against Georgia, which definitely means they played their F game against Auburn)

In between,, when were all of these games where Alabama played its A game and looked so bad arse - Chattanooga, Kentucky?

Saban is the GOAT. Kirby is a cheap imitation.

BAMA wins.

WTF? Dude, did you not see Michigan moving the ball on that NASTY Iowa ChickenHawk defense in the B10 Championship Game? That was one of the greatest Championship Games ever, and Michigan put the BEATDOWN on a Championship defensive team in front of the entire country!

We are AMERICA'S TEAM now, and we're coming to get OUR Trophy!

I had to slap myself to stay awake during that game. Most boring shite I've ever seen in my life.

I'll be completely honest with you.

As I sat watching the games with my,didn't know what a 1st and ten meant to start the year (I'm serious) girlfriend, she asked a question.

You see, we had just finished watching Bama-UGA and we'd watched a bunch of SEC games all season long and then the ACC/B1G Championship games came on. We were watching and as we get into the second quarter she asks me.....dead serious.

The question....."Why do these games look so slow and unexciting?"

Direct quote.

I laughed and said they are slower than the SEC players and they run antiquated offenses from the 1980's. We laughed and joked about the run-run-pass-punt games for a few minutes and changed the channel to a movie.

True story.

Point is, even an amateur can see yall are slow and have a high school offense.

Probably goes just like it did in 2021, but we didn’t get the invite this time.

Georgia would win a rematch. They are the better team. The playoff committee did not want another Georgia/Bama NC game - which would have been the eventual outcome - so UGA was denied a chance at a third straight Natty. There is extreme SEC fatigue and SEC envy in other parts of the country and the committee obliged these bitter people. They chose to put in a program that cheated to win their championship over a possible SEC/ SEC rematch. It’s not about the 4 best teams. It about catering to the Big 10 and northern sportswriters who are tired of the SEC dominating college football

you can't count what if's. you would have to count the fumbled punt by Auburn and the terrible defense on 4-31. if none of that happens, Bama isn't in the playoffs.

Georgia played a B game and handed the game to Bama when they fumbled deep in their own territory. Bama played their B+ game but got away with mugging our WRs on at least 4 plays. Also got the horse collar call that wasn’t a horse collar that extended a drive. Also got the catch that wasn’t a catch that gave them a 1st down. If both teams were 100% healthy and played a rematch, UGA wins by 14+.

Generally speaking the team with the best QB may not win, but the team with the worst QB certainly does not most times.

Of the four teams in it.

2014- Arguably, worst QB won it.

2015- Worst QB did not win.

2016- Best QB won it.

2017- Best QB won it.

2018- Best QB won it.

2019- Best QB won it.

2020- Jones may not have been the best, but that's because there were two other first round QBs present. Obviously ND's QB was the worst.

2021- Michigan starting QB (not McCarthy) was the worst.

2022- I'd put Stetson over both Duggan and Mccarthy at this time. So not the worst.

2023- Where do you rank these QBs?

If that were true then 2021 Georgia is not in the semis.

Neither is Bama in 2017.

It's the way things are done and I understand. I don't have a problem with it.

Would we be favored over every team in it? Yes.

But such arguments are for losers and I don't think that entitles you to be a participant. Some people do, but not me.

That's about what the SECCG looked like third quarter through the early fourth. There are no elite teams this year and that's especially so on offense. Maybe we were at 100 percent, but it doesn't really matter.
