This might be a German thread but: Gus Coaching record after 4 years at Auburn 35-18 and a 1-3 bowl record (Birmingham bowl) Vs Chizik Coaching record after 4 years at Auburn 33-19 and a 3-0 bowl record 1 national championship title

Gus has proven what he can do with a good QB. He shite the bed with QBs the past few years. There is no doubt about that.

Let me spell it out for you then:

Good QB = Gus is going to have us in championship contention and more than likely win a championship

Shitty QB = 8-5

Who on staff evaluates and coaches QBs? Hold that person accountable for the "shitty QBs" since that's the only thing keeping you from winning ships.

I can spell just fine, thanks.

Cam "Once In A Century QB" Newton = 14-0, SEC Champs, NC

All other QB's = 46-32

Marshall was not a once in a century QB. They would have played for two NC with him if they didn't have Ellis Johnson on the other side of the ball.

That made me flashback to his first year when you pretty much all named him top coach in the sec and questioned whether he would ever lose a game.

Contradictions everywhere. Ellis Johnson was your DC in '13 and '14. You played for the NC once in 2 years with Nick Marshall at QB and Ellis Johnson as DC. So what changed, really? The answer is your o-line and running game changed.

If you had to point to the primary reason that Auburn made it to the NC in 2013 it was that o-line and running attack. That's why you didn't play for the NC in 2014.

Damn, if only Alabama fans could be our Head Coach, we'd never lose again.

I didn't comment on either coaches only pointed out overall records at the year 4 mark while at Auburn. Whatever or However you want to spin it is your opinion.

That's true. We both know why you posted it, but you're right.

AU was #3 on the first Playoff poll. Then AUs D collapsed. You forget that Nick and Co put 630 yards on Saban/Smart that year. The OL and RBs were not an issue.

There you go bringing facts into a troll thread!

The fact is: 2 out of the 3 years Gus has had a QB worth a crap, he's won the SEC and played for the NC (Cam and Nick). And even with an average QB like White, he was in contention for the SEC until White got hurt.

And whoever said something about Auburn not having a running game in 2014: they lead the SEC in rushing that year. The problem was having the worst defense in Auburn history, and Johnson was let go at the end of that season. And if Lashley would've been let go at the end of that season, we wouldn't have wasted a scholarship on JF3. And probably would've at least won 10+ games in 2016.

Name the top 5 QBs Gus signed out of high school and coached. The list is pretty Les Miles-esque

Now name the juco QBs that Miles signed that took them to the NC game. Why do I care whe they came from?
