At best 10-2, at worst 8-4.

Chizik could be on the money here. AU could be better than last year and have a slightly worse record.

"hardly ever" = 2 out of the last 3? Barner math, I guess. Seriously, do you really think anything Shula did is relevant...or Tuberville, for that matter?

Auburn can lose to Bama and still win the West this year, IMO.

So what two teams do you see beating Bama?

USC will always be good under the ole ball coach. Reasonable prediction.

Take your pick from Auburn, UF(If they have an Offense), LSU, MSU, and OM. If Coker isn't the GOAT QB, Bama fans claim him to be it will be worse.

Yeah his reasoning is pretty sound. I can't make a logical argument against it, really. I think 10-2 is pretty likely, and I would honestly be pretty happy with that. Particularly with how we have played coming off of big seasons in the past.

Our schedule worries me a pretty good bit. Even that Arkansas game for the opener makes me cringe a little. Lord knows that's the only game Bert's been working on for months now.

Also, you forgot Mike Blanc. I still think the 2014 D-Line has the potential to be better than the 2010 unit. Obviously having Carl Lawson healthy makes a big difference.

When has Bama needed a GOAT QB? We are Game Manager U.

Yeah but Bama has been lucky with having very accurate QBs that almost always make the key passes when the drives are on the line. You put a QB in there thats not as accurate as AJ and GM and thats alot more drives that stall and the other teams will stay in the games longer and play harder. Plus Bama isn't used to QBs that throw picks and the damage they can cause. Let Coker have problems with any of those and Bama's offense will look like it did against VT last year when AJ struggled.

Thats not even counting offensive games like Auburn, A&M, and UGA from the last couple of years that the QB has to keep making plays.

They aren't that good really. Should have lost 2 other games last year, but luck was on their side.

and that stops why?

but to stay on point. I think chiz is probably right. Could certianly be worse or better, but that's as good a pick as any.

LSU will beat bama, Auburn is a toss up, and I think Bama gets pushed by Ark and one of the Mississippi schools.

1 sure loss, and likely one more, with a fair possibility of 9-3.
