And who the frick is he? Does he work in the Athletic Department?
1. They buyout (if it happens) is to be paid out in accordance with the contract, over a certain time period.
2. LSU was never in 'fiscal danger' or the hyped word that Alexander used to the State Legislature.
The State secured funds for the 11% of LSU's total budget that it contributes to the University and there was no danger of cuts.

So will Les be suing L5U like Chavis?

Yeah, and you don't get it if you don't understand what LSU actually is right now - and can be. Saban understood. That is why he went to LSU in 2000. How many programs have more wins over the past 15 years with 2 NCs and another appearance and 4 SEC titles? Who has more players in the NFL? The talent is incredible in Louisiana and East Texas and LSU is positioned to get what it wants.

You are living in 1977 if you cannot see that, but I expect no less from a Bama fan.

Bama has some good posters, they have about 4 or 5 that actually think they have something to do with Alabama being great. They troll pretty much every fan base, you will see them in just about every thread about other teams.

I think it's a mistake, and a big 1 to ruthlessly fire Miles at this time. He has earned another season for sure, and probably should be able to coach until he decides to retire.

LSU will take a big hit in recruiting, will be set back, and will end up in a constant rebuilding cycle. How long it will last, I am not sure.

Gary Danielson gets it

No, actually, he really doesn't, but if LSU "fans" want to listen to that laughable dumbass without a clue, (really no surprise there) you deserve what you get. ... If you people really want to help solve a good portion of your problems, why don't you get rid of the source of the majority of them, which is Cameron with his shitty, stagnant, one dimensional play calling who has wasted LSU offensive talent since he's been there, instead of firing the winningest HC in your history & the SEC for the past decade?

Tbh, I don't understand why the hell LSU "fans" are so upset to the point of cutting off your proverbial noses to spite your faces when anyone who knows anything about the LSU roster this season, knew at the beginning of the year that this wasn't going to be anywhere close to a championship season for you, neither natty nor SEC. Actually, you're sitting right about where most SHOULD have expected you to be - with 2-4 losses - and where logical, non-delusional people who know anything about football knew you WOULD be, considering the number of players you lost, due to either their graduating or the NFL, leaving you with a shitload of freshmen starting in key positions - you all had 4 freshmen starters on the o-line, alone, against OM. Having 3-4 losses in a season with that many youngsters is not that damn bad. It could be a whole lot worse, BIELEME ME, LOL. It makes zero fricking difference if a freshman recruit was a 4 or 5 star coming out of high school, playing collegiate ball in this conference against jrs & srs with more experience in every facet, both physically & mentally, those freshmen are still not going to be as good, strong, fast, or mentally prepared as the ones who've been playing a few years. That is why this season wasn't supposed to be "LSU's year;" NEXT season was supposed to be a much better one, after the young ones improved & got a feel for playing in this conference - HUGE JUMP from high school to the SEC, I don't care how "great" a player was in high school; that's pretty common knowledge.

Since Cameron has been at LSU running the offense, LSU players have been winning in spite of him; they had the talent and EXPERIENCE to do it. This year, with the number of inexperienced starters for LSU, Cameron & his shitty offensive scheme, philosophy, play calling, etc., has been exposed even more. Why the hell wouldn't you lop off THAT part of your major problem instead of getting rid of the one main reason for LSU's success for the past decade? It's utterly insane, particularly since the odds of anyone doing better at LSU than Les - 110-32, a natty, & runner-up, in just over a decade - are astronomical. ... And I'm literally lol'ing at all of the "Jimbo Fisher will be our savior" hoopla - the hick wannabe thug balla "HC candidate" who instead of leading LSU to any championships, will hastily lead you (DO NOT PASS GO; DO NOT COLLECT $200) directly to a team full of thug/criminal players, NCAA investigations & sanctions for major violations while attempting to live up to Miles' success/record & LSU "fans' " ridiculous expectations of a natty each year, which he will be unable to accomplish legitimately, so LSU will become ThugU, SEC version, rather speedily, in no more than 2 years, BET. But I digress ... There's going to be a "down time," for re-loading for any team, particularly the one who sends the most players to the NFL, and usually before their eligibility is up at their school. Why not get a better suited OC, and allow your HC to do his job, which has been pretty decent, to say the least, and allow your young players to get the experience they need to make improvements & adjustments for next season & following ones? What makes LSU any different from any other school regarding the cyclical nature of ups & downs of collegiate football programs? Because "you're LSU" & supposed to be bulletproof, according to buffoon Gary Danielson??? Lol, bullshite. ... LSU's "ups" have been SIGNIFICANTLY higher & longer than the "downs," LARGELY DUE TO MILES, and your present worst "down" is probably a 3 or, possibly but improbably, 4 loss season. Yet, the vast majority of LSU "fans" are too unkowledgeable, spoiled, delusional, disloyal, etc., etc., etc., and just plain ignorant to understand this.

You idiots are about to play right into Alleva's hand since he's had it in for Miles forever, and now you've given him the backing he needs to fire the winningest head coach in your program's history, then afterwards, it looks like you'll still be stuck with your main problem of your shitty OC & his shitty offensive "philosophy," no matter who you hire as HC. ... Honestly, regardless if Miles is fired or not, he should take the job at Tejas if offered, & never look back, except maybe to take a few LA recruits with him. (Hell, Fournette might wanna go along with Les & give the Horns a go; probably a better shot at the Heisman at Texass for damn sure ) ... LSU's many delusional so-called "fans" don't deserve Miles with their generally ludicrous, unattainable expectations & completely unappreciative, totally disloyal ingrate selves. Actually, I'd really enjoy seeing Fisher @LSU. Many of LSU's "fans," with the inexplicably shitty way they treat their inarguably all around exceptional coach, a class act who's been nothing but a wonderful ambassador for their program & school, on & off the field, loyal to the point of passing up his dream job at Michigan, outstanding recruiter who's lost only 32 games in 11 years & has sent more players to the NFL than any other coach in the country while at their school, etc. etc., etc, & Jimbo deserve each other.

Normally, I have zero fricks to give about other programs' coaching hires/fires, but the amount of unmitigated asshat stupid it takes to do what LSU seems to have accomplished in running off the winningest coach in its football program's history, and without a doubt the best HC they'll have in a very, very long while, for absolutely no legitimate reason whatsoever, and instead, KEEPS the source of a majority of its football program's main problem - OC Cam Cameron - makes it difficult not to watch ... and laugh. And anticipating the Tiggers' greatest melt in the history of all meltdowns when their delusional, elitist, entitled balloon is popped because of their replacement HC's inevitable, utter fail, is/will be truly pretty entertaining to see. (My sympathies to my non-delusional, relatively sensible & knowledgeable true LSU fan friends & family.) Lulz.

LSU is a "blue blood" or elite cfb program. That's why Miles's poorly coached teams are no longer going to be tolerated.

Here's the LSU Football Philosophy:

Any program that strives to be the best can only get there by chasing Perfection. By chasing Perfection, you may never catch it, but, through the process of the chase, you will attain Excellence. When you attain Excellence in all aspects of your program, you WILL be a National Champion.

LSU is not Bama, USC, UT, OU, UF, OSU, Michigan.

That is like the top tier. LSU is high 2nd tier.

Amen, brother, preach on. Your post should be read by all. This entire situation is an example of the entitled throw away world we live in. I am as frustrated by this season as anyone, but your analysis is spot on. Youth will not win out in a conference like ours. Any good cook knows it takes time to cook a perfect gumbo.

You are all using the present time as your point of reference. What you see around you at the present time is probably not going to remain immutable -- it will change.

No matter what you think of LSU football right now doesn't matter. What matters is that the new leader of LSU football manages this constant change -- CONTROLS the change. Control the change by implementing the principles of the Philosophy every day, and the organization will attain the goals prescribed in the Philosophy.

That's not happening with the current regime in the present time. But that is going to change.

Actually has a losing record when you just put in the SEC west division. Les has been good for LSU but we are trending in the wrong direction and he has shown no signs of being able to right the ship.

Sail on.

And in addition to the SEC West record, his bowl game record has taken a nosedive since the Penn State Capitol One Bowl in 2009.

I have mixed feelings about Miles right now. But I think most LSU fans feel that the program with Miles is stale. Most coaches peak after being at a school for so long, and I believe Miles has reached that point after being HC for 11 seasons. But the replacement better be a damn good one if Alleva plans to fire him this season.

I really agree with this. Unless we have a HOME RUN hire we should have waited one more year as painful as it would have been. With past history I don't put a lot of faith in our A.D.

Les should never have been given the huge buyout.
If we get a home run hire I think recruiting will actually be better--big IF.
