LSU, Alabama, Florida, USC, Ohio State and Notre Dame Let's play one of these don't belong like on Sesame Street. I will give you 3 guesses and the first two don't count.

If you could look past your elephant trunk you would realize that two of these don't belong in that list.

Gary must have been drinking, because one of those programs doesn't belong and it's the only one that starts with a "L".

Seriously, the SEC has improved in the past 10 years, and LSU was only 14-10 in the previous 3 seasons before 2011, so it's not really much different.

Well, OG, "Elly May" isn't up in her usual spot right now; I wasn't very pleased with her pilgrim look (resembled a nun), so I took her down for a bit of a makeover. It can be kind of difficult to discern my gender for some, no doubt, when I'm "discussing" sports through writing & can't actually be seen or heard, NOT that gender should matter!!!! And you KNOW my masculine side shines through a bit when I'm talking/watching/writing/thinking/RANTING, etc., etc., about football. ... I'll forgive dwr353 THIS time, especially since he agrees with me & gave such a glowing review of my rant. ... Thank you, Mr./Ms. 353. And I hope y'all's coaching dilemma works out for the best for decent, knowledgeable, real LSU fans such as yourself & Ole Geauxt, here, despite y'all's ignorant, shitty ones who certainly know not what they wish for or run their pie holes/fingers/styluses about.

OG, after just finishing the rest of this thread, I'm still SMDH, pretty incredulous at the lack of general football knowledge - even of your own program & its history - among many of your so-called "fans." No doubt, your eye-sockets must be sore from all of the uncontrollable eye-rolling reactions after perusing the comments on this topic, & not just this thread, which is definitely one of the lesser delusional & insane ones, although it has its moments, beginning with the title. ... Sorry, I'm not laughing at YOU, OG; you're one of the "good" TIGS who's extremely logical & reasonable MOST of the time (despite being a colossal homer ) with tons of insight & knowledge about your program - past, present, & even future, and loyal to your exceptional HC, as you should be, with a relatively decent grasp on the concept of football, in general, but you could improve a bit on the specifics & 19 bazillion peripheral issues associated with it in any way. I guess maybe you should study up on it a bit; if only you had played just a little ... oh, wait ... ...

But to act like LSU is not a player NOW is asinine

So what, look at who the college powers were 25 years ago.Miami,FSU,Nebraska,etc.So the last 15 years of LSU history indicate how good they're gonna be for the next 15 years? College football is always a changing landscape and I can almost guarantee you the next 15 years of LSU won't come close to the success of the Saban/Miles era.

Therd's nothing inherent to the program that gives them any type of advantage of Florida,Auburn,UGA,or even Texas A&M.Hell, look at Ole Miss now under Freeze.

At the end of the day, how can you fault us for trying to get better?

Is it a gamble? Yes, a massive one.

Why stay stagnant?

The program is trying to be great and is willing to roll the dice to accomplish that feat.

Who's to say you can't get better by tweaking a few things with Miles?

But you're right,I can't fault the passion for trying to get better.

We have gone through 4 OC's since he has been here.

Its just time to move on, Miles was a great coach for us.
