It's not a fumble. Bad angle here, but the right side of the ball carrier's body had broken the plane of the sideline prior to losing control of the ball, meaning he was out of bounds and down before losing control.

I'd say a big victory is the way Oregon beat them.

Oregon dismantled UT. I now fully expect them to win the NC.

First, welcome to your first season of watching CF. Second, stick around and you will realize how ignorant this line of thinking is.

I meant to say I fully expect Oregon to beat Bama in the NC. Sorry.

It didn't look like it on the replays during the game. The ball didn't come out of his hand until after the end of the Ball crossed the line. Doesn't matter now. UGA got the call.

He had possession - I've seen pig transfer control of the ball from his palms to just his finger tips before. He does this to stretch the ball out in situations like these - mistake was he lost it after he broke the plane so the refs assumed he was losing control of the ball rather than just possessing it with his finger tips due to have never seen a player with that type of ability. Plus his knee was down anyway. He has big knee caps - just impossible to tell from the angle.

Very clear fumble, although I still despise the touchback rule
