Wow. Two people are dead from YOUR athletic department…but everyone else has faux outrage over it.
Georgia fans please keep posting. You’re showing yourselves to be the degenerate piece of shite we thought you were.

You think Georgia is screwed because of speeding?
What exactly happens when this fate is upon us?

I get that viewpoint. But, does it make sense to have a story about Georgia keeping a woman on payroll that refuses to cooperate with an investigation, or have a story about Georgia firing a woman who refuses to shed light on a tragic accident that she was a part of.
Keep her on the payroll and it smacks of paying her NOT to cooperate and cover up facts. Just my opinion, and obviously everyone is fine with having a differing opinion.

Incorrect. The university wouldn’t allow her to have her attorney present so she refused the interview. Uga fricked.
Have not heard or seen this. Where did you get this information from?
The only thing I have seen is this:
“Applicable policies require university employees to cooperate with internal investigations,” the statement obtained by the Journal-Constitution said. “Over the course of several months, Ms. Bowles was asked — on numerous occasions — to speak with our investigators and provide information, and through her attorney, she repeatedly refused to cooperate.
Not saying you are wrong. Just asking for the link or source of your information.

And you didn't read the second part of my comment. What the hell is the harm of keeping her employed even though she is not cooperating. She gets paid peanuts. She can't do any work under the name of Georgia since she is on leave. All she would be able to do is cash a check. Why the hell not take the hit of basically a minimum wage paycheck and avoid any issues that might come with her being terminated? Paying an attorney that specializes in employment to make sure this firing is all kosher costs a whole lot more than they would have paid for this girl's salary. It's stupid move money wise and is just one more story related to this tragic even being consumed by the public that didn't need to happen. One more time that the public is reminded UGA employees were related in the death of two people. Cost/benefit isn't there.
What she was paid is irrelevant. You never keep people on the payroll that have sued you, you are setting yourself up for more lawsuits. That person becomes a walking time bomb for another lawsuit. Attorneys are suit happy. They will come up with more crap.

That is sickening, if true. Nice attempt at a deflection. I am sure no Georgia boosters or Georgia fans are judges/police in Athens where the athletes have cases.
I honestly do not know, but if you find me a link where it happened, I will be happy to reciprocate by giving you a link where it happened concerning a Title IX case in which a woman was sexually assaulted in Gainesville.
quote:
The truth here is she is suing them and they're trying to gather additional facts from her as a way to not pay out, circumventing the courts. It's painfully obvious what Georgia is doing here - they were trying to get that "gotcha" out of her and weren't doing so, so they got rid of her.
I'm sure you got this from a credible source and are not just making it up out of thin air? You have proof, right? Share us the link, please.
Now, about that adjudicator that was a graduate of Florida, and ex-athlete at Florida and a current booster for Florida being put in charge of a sexual assault case. I'm sure he looked after the best interests of the young lady, right?

Wait I mean nows the time to rehire the guy who went after UGA now and admit they were wrong for firing him!
Posted on 8/8/23 at 3:41 pm to ChiGator
And what should Florida get for having a known serial killer on the team for years ?

The whole “melting” response is telling. It’s what people do when they have no other way to respond. It’s funny.
