The Hebrew translates more to:
"And if men strive together, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart"
The medical definition for misscarriage is the expulsion of a fetus from the womb before it is able to survive independently, especially spontaneously or as the result of accident, or to "give birth prematurely"
The translation is fine.

He's also using different translations or versions to illustrate "editing".
But we are WAY off topic. RE: Freeze's statement to USA Today, what else would people expect him to say?
Although,
"Sorry for all the pain I've caused my family and The University and the fans" would have been a good start...
Not "I'm going to Memphis to visit friends".

There is a significant difference in editing the source texts and in translations of the source text. No doubt the theology of the translators can affect the tone or shading of the text in translation, but also there is constant advancement in the translators' understanding of the nuances of language, including the language of the source texts. Also consider that language changes over time and words change their meaning. "Kill" in Elizabethan times has a slightly different meaning that it has today. Thus modern translations will use the word "murder" In the translation of the Ten Commandments rather than "kill" in the King James translation. The word hasn't been changed in the source text, but it is translated differently today than more than 400 years ago because of changes in modern English usage.
As to the differences in translation of Exodus 21:22, the KJV says "so her fruit depart from her." The ESV says "so that her child come out." And the NBS (French) says "que son enfant sort." The obvious point is a premature birth or miscarriage, which in ancient times would have been virtually the same. Premature birth would have almost always resulted in death of the infant. If not, they probably would not have regarded it as a premature birth. Your attempt to prove a point about editing is a failure.

religion is a political system just like government is a political system.
Even though there is no God, Hugh Freeze will be better in life for speaking to his Pastor because the political part of religion is powerful, even if the God part of religion is non existent.
There are millions of people whose life is better off because they choose to be in the political system of a religion.

I agree with this. Religion is only a real issue to us non religious when someone is trying to force their religion on others. Things like putting up a statue of the Ten Commandments at a government building, trying to get prayer in public schools, refusing to serve the LGBT community, trying to get creationism taught in schools, preachers talking politics from the pulpit (yet the church is tax exempt), etc... If you want to have these personal beliefs, go right ahead. Just don't expect or demand everyone else to believe it too.

I would expect him to have at least some sort of shame rather than just "going through difficult times". Going through difficult times is when you lose your mother to cancer through no fault of anyone. Going through difficult times is when you're laid off from the sawmill.
Cheating on your wife 5+ times and losing your job of being the highest paid employee in the state isn't going through difficult times for you. You fricked up hardcore, and you should issue full fledged apology to everyone you affected, first your wife and kids, and then the community that you fricked with.
But instead he's still that pious piece of shite that has been exposed for the man he actually is and left our university at a new low. Stop using God as a crutch, and face the fricking music that you fricked up.

Are you even a little bit upset that he didn't/hasn't apologized to you yet?
Yeah. This wasn't an apology whatsoever to either his family or his community. Just "difficult times" if that means anything. Difficult times don't imply a self inflicted wound, just something bad has happened.

You realize you can say the same about Bigfoot, The Lock Ness monster, ghosts, etc. No one can prove that anything doesn't exist because it might somewhere in the universe or in some other universe. Just like you can't prove that I'm not god if I say I am because to anything you say to dispute my claim to be god, I can always say "but what if".

What he NEEDS to do is get out of Oxford with his family. Like move. Completely away. At least for a while, anyways. No phone, no tv, no anything. Just go. And make an attempt at putting his family back together. Then worry about everything else. Because in the scheme of things, that's what matters most.
Quite frankly, people don't want to hear that he's depending on God. He's been depending on God for his entire career. But he hasn't. He's just been telling us he has. This time, don't tell people, just do it. Humbly. Without making a deal of it. You've lost your platform for a VERY long time, if not forever. Don't try to get back up on it.

I mean, I'm sure that is the next logical step. He is no longer employed by the university and will never be again, so what other reason does he have to live in such a place? "I've got lots of down time and lots of money, let's live in Mississippi!" said no one ever.

"God is good" is a definitive statement that has no sauce, so there are no need me to have sauces.
