Probably the worst part about it, seems like he has zero remorse and has taken no accountability for his actions. I originally felt bad for Jill Freeze, but if she has already forgiven him and is staying by his side it either means she knew about it the whole time and they have an "arrangement" or she has zero respect for herself. I can see maybe taking him back for your kids after counseling and Kobe style remorse gifts, but this is crazy.

I don't know, maybe the pattern they discovered was something different but just as bad. Not going to speculate on what that might be, but I'm just shocked this guy is even allowed to be in his house or near his children right now.

Here's the full article.

Dude actually says:

“I’m sure I’ll go to Memphis and hang out with some of my friends some," he said.

He really needs hide out at the lake house & clear brush for a few more weeks, stay OUT of the public eye, out of the headlines, and off social media. Sweat it out in the heat Hugh - do yard work till you drop - cleanse your mind through physical exhaustion.

The minister, preacher's, pastor's and reverend friends would serve him better if they kept their comments about the situation in private with Hugh.

It just serves no purpose to throw out these off the cuff comments & public displays of support while Hugh shows zero remorse or contrition for his own personal actions.

Agreed. He should've disappeared until football season, come out and admitted ALL of his transgressions, and stated he was going to counseling for sex addiction or some shite. And say nothing about God, pastors, etc.

He's always gonna be a thumper, but that's the last thing people want to hear about.

Serious question for the OM fans:

Are you even a little bit upset that he didn't/hasn't apologized to you yet?

Even scumbag Bobby Petrino released this statement the day he was let go:

"The simplest response I have is: I'm sorry. These two words seem very inadequate. But that is my heart," Petrino said in a statement. "All I have been able to think about is the number of people I've let down by making selfish decisions. I've taken a lot of criticism in the past. Some deserved, some not deserved. This time, I have no one to blame but myself.

Hugh won't do it. If anything he'll throw it off as "mistakes were made" then back that up with >>> God is good!

Honestly, I'm not "upset" per se bc I understand who he is. The guy is obsessed with his image and is a dumb hick. Good football coach, but an idiot.

I think it's bush league that he hasn't come clean tho. Apparently at his farewell speech to the team he didn't admit much wrongdoing there either. Dude is always playing the perception game.

Christians are not perfect, but they are forgiven! If his wife and family want to forgive him, then that is good enough for me.

A huge ego and rebellious to the core. If he's always worried about his image and perception, then he must be walking the floors day & night. Because his image and the public perception of Hugh Freeze is at rock bottom right now.

What a fluff piece of drivel. It is the first interview so USA today should have had an investigative journalist do it. This guy only asked him two questions and they were both mindless bullshite.

The whole article is filled up with his golly gee willikers diatribe. It is an article about nothing.

You weren't one of the Aubs that wanted AU to hire Petrino, or one of the Briles boys were ya?

God can't carry out vengeance on Christians. He can discipline us though. You should skip ahead to the New Testament and finish the Old Testament later.

Dude probably has his wife and kids convinced it was a one time thing. Doubling down on the lies is going to work out great for him.
