He answers to the AD. That being said, it isn't surprising that he hasn't had discussions about and isn't clued in on this latest investigation, since it's his coaching staff that is now alleged to be involved.

Freeze shocked about Tunsil by miss dixieYou do not know the circumstances or the full story. Time will tell.
just like before Tunsil got suspended, and every Ole Miss fan told us nothing illegal happened. Threw everything in folks face........until the day he got suspended. But even then, y'all claimed it was over a simple rental car misunderstanding.......until it all came out (loans, multiple rental cars, airplane tickets, etc...) and suddenly you went from innocent to guilty.
That is what is about to go down here........you can scream from the mountain tops about not being guilty, because right now.......you aren't. Enjoy it while you can, the day is coming:

I meant he doesn't have to explain to the world at large. Yes, he answers to the AD...duh!

it is possible he did not know if in fact there was money paid illegally to a player.
I live over 500 miles away from Oxford, and even I knew that money was being paid illegally to players. He didn't know, really? He's the only motherfricker in America that didn't know, really?
2 Possibilities
1. He knew, and did nothing to stop it, or worse, orchestrated it.
or
2. He didn't know, or was willfully ignorant, in which case, LACK OF INSTITUTIONAL CONTROL.
Either way, he and Ole Miss should be punished.

We know that an Ole Miss player that was previously busted for loaner cars and personal loans admitted on national tv to taking more money from staff members.
...and also that the head coach, if he is to be taken at his word, knew nothing about it despite having been given an NOA from the NCAA. An NOA surrounding the investigation of the EXACT same player.
Not being forthright with the NCAA while under investigation hasn't turned out well for others in the past.

I will be shocked if Freeze is still head coach at OM this time next year.

If the NCAA has any balls, or even a faint outline where balls should be, he'll be hit with a show cause and fired.

Behind the scenes look into the current situation at Ole Miss

Sounds like like Terry Bowden's time at Auburn. He knows which players he wants and lets others handle the dirty work. He probably doesn't know and doesn't want to know the details. Plausible deniability except this is an old script and we have all seen this movie before......

Here is the fricking truth. OM isn't doing anything different than the other 13 schools in the conference. This stuff happens every day. The problem was Tunsil has s POS step Dad and he made a mistake in a moment of personal crisis, to be honest to the team that was about to pay him millions, and let it slip.
TLDR: we got caught doing something minor that happens everywhere. We didn't give him thousands upon thousands to come to OM. We might have given a scholarship to a GF or brother. But the idea that OM is throwing ridiculous amounts of cash around isn't correct. If that were the case explain Simmoms and Carter on NSD. You can't without saying OM was out bid by State and Bama.

If OM is throwing buckets of cash at recruits, how in the world is Tunsil in need of $305?
You can't have it both ways.
because college students are responsible with money

Other schools paying just as much or close to it but are not being investigated by the NCAA? That would be my first guess.
My second guess is that Simmoms along with MS State played y'all big time.

It's funny to me- that just makes him seem worse. Preach out that mouth but make sure and have your eyes shut.

No, the problem started when Freeze opened his mouth and said Tunsil was protecting his mom from Miller without knowing all the facts or he was a freaking moron. If Freeze wouldn't have thrown Miller under the bus, things may have been different.
