I make Harris try and beat me regardless, he would have to show me he can do it. And he won't do it running for his life if he's in third and long.

Keeping him to 5 yards a carry or less and 1 TD or less would be successful defense. I would like Alabama's chances with those numbers.
that's basically what he had against W. Kentucky...and they have a better offense than you

I don't think he will get 100 in the first quarter either

I could give a shite if that egg-headed, Bruce Banner like mf'er runs for over 500 yards against Bama, as long as we get the W....

quote:Harris has literally been his best when teams blitz on 3rd down. This game is going to be close, but I don't see Coker being able to make the plays. Ridley and Fournette are both going to get a big one, but LSU is going to sell out to stop Henry. I'll take Harris, Dural and Dupree over Coker, Ridley and Mulaney.

Fournette owns a lot of space in gump heads.

As bad as these teams are 4 out of 7 held LF under their rushing average. But if you average the % of yards he gets, he is average 109% of the opponents rushing defense.
So you are comparing a single back against stats that are for a whole team? Got it!

it's certainly possible. but if you think we have our "standard" one dimensional offense you are wrong. we can win this game w/o a over 100 yd day for Fournette, esp if y'all scheme to just stopping him. every other team we've played has done that and it bit 'em on the arse. sure, y'alls D will be the best we've played but our O will be the best y'all have played.

Doubt it...but as long as we win, I don't care.

One thing that was blatantly obvious in the Tennessee game is Bama's defense can be run on outside of the tackles. One of the best plays LSU runs is the toss lead/dive where Fournette has an extra few seconds to diagnose where the defense if collapsing. If Bama gets all jumpy and starts over-pursuing and letting Fournette constantly get to the 2nd level it's going to be a long day for Bama. This match up will be awesome to watch.

Fournette averages 8 ypc. What are you talking about with 30+ times per game? How many times has he gotten 30+ carries?
Posted on 10/26/15 at 9:26 am to LNCHBOX
No one knows who will win, how many yards LF will have or how much grass Les will eat. What we do know for an absolute fact though, is that if Bama wins, it will be because the refs cheated for Bama...at least according to LSU fans that is.
