As bad as these teams are 4 out of 7 held LF under their rushing average. But if you average the % of yards he gets, he is average 109% of the opponents rushing defense.

So you're saying they held one man below the average they've been allowing to ENTIRE TEAMS. So for example, LF by himself rushed for 98% of what State gives up to a team who rushes 2-3 backs in a game? Not sure that statement as the effect you were looking for.

Also don't think you subtracted LSU's yards from these teams' stats; that's problematic. Say LF put up 275 on a team who hasn't allowed more than 180 to anyone else. LF's performance inflates that teams rushing yards allowed per game.

Both bama and Fournette will have success. You are not holding him under 100 though

Fournette will get over 100 yards.

The target should be 125 or so for Bama. If he's in that neighborhood, Bama has a really good shot to win the game.

Chubb

20 for 146

If they defend him like they did Chubb, Alabama probably wins. Chubb was a non-factor until Alabama was up 35 points late in the game and he finally broke the one explosive run he had all day (83 yard TD).

To me Hurd had a better game against Bama than Chubb.

Alabama is the 3rd best rushing defense in the nation and only giving up 78.5 yards a game, so if LF continues his "dominating performance" he will get 85.5 yards.

Alabama has only faced 1 top 25 rushing offense this year with UGA

Wisc - 88
Mid Tenn - 106
Ole Miss - 62
ULM - 123
UGA -22
Arky - 48
A&M - 95
Tenn - 31

Huh, he only got 3 per against us. Unimpressive.

The only stat I care about is the score. I will say this and any of you would say the same thing. If you were Bama's D Coordinator you scheme to stop Fournette and make Harris try and beat you.

With the personnel Bama has if they can't at least slow him up no one can.

How many career rushing yards does Fournette have against Arkansas?

So can I say that if he wasn't hurt in the BAMA game, he'd probably went over 100 yards

Harris came on strong and has been showing progress at the perfect time.

He is a legit QB and people are noticing. You have to account for Malachi and Travin now and you can't just load the box the entire game.

The result is alabama might hold LF at first, but he will gash them on a big run or two after Harris nails a big play and get most of his yard on 2 big plays. He will steadily get his normal yards. I'm saying he gets 150+

Not after what I've seen from Harris the last couple weeks. Fournette is going to get his regardless, if you sell out to stop him Harris has clearly shown he can make you pay.

If yall sell out to stop Fournette, I don't think the game will be close.

5 yds per carry?

I'd take this and a W back to BR.

He averages 7.7 yards a carry and 2+ TDs a game. Keeping him to 5 yards a carry or less and 1 TD or less would be successful defense. I would like Alabama's chances with those numbers.

If Bama can slow Fournette and Harris is looking at 3rd and long he's in trouble. The Tide D can do two things a lot better than last year.

One of them is cover receivers, and two the pass rush is much much improved. I think Alabama can rush the passer as well as anyone in the conference and they can and will get to Harris.
