Your statement is false. AP was a beast from his first game until the time he got injured in his junior season. He ran fast and angry and he dominated games. Fournette has time to get better, but he is no where close to Peterson.

Out of curiosity (since people are making comparisons), I took a look at the stats. AP had 41 carries to LF's 21 carries through 2 games. AP had a 5.27 ypc average through two games. LF has a 5.23 ypc. They are virtually the same as far as that goes. LF has not really played in the 4th when the D is tired though. Wisconsin is by far a better defensive opponent than what AP faced in his first two games (though LF didn't do much against them).

LF is impressive looking physically, but hasn't stood out to me after his first two games. The 40-yard run definitely had the wow factor to it with the cuts he made. That's the first big flash of serious talent I've seen after hearing so much hype. But he has had a number of runs where he didn't look fast and was taken down by one guy. So he hasn't looked out of this world either. However, he very well may flatten defenders in the 4th quarter when they're getting tired because Cam Cameron made a big deal about his stamina and how he never gets tired. But as I said, he hasn't been in yet when the D is running low on gas. So that may may add another dimension to things. We shall see...

Oh God damn. Now you are comparing Fournette to Adrian Peterson? I feel bad for the kid. LSU fans have completely set him up for the ultimate failure.

No wonder Eddie Lacy and Landon Collins went to Alabama....

Nice alter name Mr. Alabama fan...here's a gif of that "solid dependable back" making a great catch...

...so mebbe if he doesn't work out at running back, he has a future at WR/TE.

Not alter, just honest. That was a "solid dependable" catch. Again, i said he is good, just not as good as advertised or heisman good.

I would be content if he was a K. Williams or a L. Toefield. Would you?

two games in and the OP has it all figued out

I crack up at all the early season predictions everyone loves to make around here when in truth no one has a damn clue what they are talking about. That's the beauty of football...constantly being surprised by the improvement of a team/player. But, keep looking into that crystal ball of yours...I wish you luck with that

Fournette = Keiland Williams
Realistic expectations are that Fournette will be a solid dependable back. And that's ok. He's not going to be Adrian Peterson and neither will he have that kind of a career. And he's not winning any Heismans. He's good but he's not that good. That's what my eyes tell me.

I've seen those special backs take the field at LSU and you could tell they had IT. We haven't had many "special" backs at LSU and the last one was Kevin Faulk. You could tell when he took the field his first game against Texas a&m that he had IT. Vision, elusiveness, and a burst through the line. Fournette just doesn't have the "wow" factor to me.

Bingo we have a winner. Glad someone had some balls to say the truth. The quick burst of speed i dont see at all.

Good Back-Yes

Great Back-No

making judgements about a player after just 2 games is rantarded. Then add in the fact the play calling was dog shite so far for LF and it really makes this look stupid. The only carries he got against wisconsin were against 10 guys in the box and out of our stupid shitty power set. If LF got the shotgun 3 wide handoffs like kenny got when we started opening holes this thread wouldn't even exist.

it really is full of some amazing bump material for all parties involved any non tard LSU fan would have been thrilled with his numbers thus far. 2 games in, one against a highly touted opponent.. 21 attempts, 110 yards, 2 TD, 5.2 ypc.. with 2 receptions 15+ yard catches. just wish that jennings hadn't thrown a terrible pass to him on his screen with 40+ yards of open grass in front of him

looking at him, physically, i think he has a little room to grow especially in the lower body

Has anyone mentioned LF already has twice as many receiving yards as Adian Petrson had as a freshman?

in two games, that's pretty crazy. Peterson is the GOAT and if Fournette can even be mentioned in the same breath as him 3 years from now it will be pretty fricking amazing.

all i'm asking for is jeremy hill 2.0

He also was fed the ball 20 to 30 times a game.

He would have way more receiving yards if Jennings knew how to throw a fricking screen pass properly.

He was impressive but not the GOAT

Barry Sanders, Herschel Walker, OJ Simpson, Marcus Allen, Earl Campbell, Bo Jackson, Archie Griffin were all as good if not a lot better
