IMO les has his fat grubby hands in the offense again. The shite tightend offense is a Miles speciality. I feared we would turtle shell and go back to it against SHSU just to prove we could run the power set. We should be in 3 wide and shotgun most of the game. I figure it will take at least one loss before major changes happen. We will need to get down 20 or so vs auburn and be stuck going nowhere before we go with what works.

If you can't tell the difference between the Cam Cameron offense and the Miles offense.. idk what to tell you

Also, just FYI, some of our best pass plays on the season came on play action. That's why Miles likes the under center with a full back look. It's an excellent package especially with Hilliard at FB and Fournette at RB..

Oh God damn. Now you are comparing Fournette to Adrian Peterson? I feel bad for the kid. LSU fans have completely set him up for the ultimate failure.

Hard to blame LSU fans for this, since all the recruiting services and ESPN were making that comparison.

BayouBengals03 Fournette = Keiland Williams quote: So running off tackle read options plays with him is just idiotic. We've been using him wrong about 80% of the time these last two games. I agree with this. However, he hasn't been overly impressive between the tackles either. I think they're thinking they want to get him along the perimeter because they don't think linebackers and defensive backs will be able to tackle him. However, I agree with you.

Seriously do u watch the game and if you do, do you pay attention to it? He hasn't been impressive between the tackles, but that cut on the 40 yd run was between the tackles. Also on the read option. He is looking for a hole to cut up into. Our o line is not reaching and teams are stringing the plays out.

i watched the sam houston replay... a lot of plays are 7 vs 9 in the box when he comes in

teams know that les doesn't trust him in pass pro yet for whatever reason... they only threw 2 passes when he was in the game and they were both passes to him!

We haven't had many "special" backs at LSU and the last one was Kevin Faulk.

Out if all the things I disagree with in your post...Jeremy Hill was special and if you can't see that you are blind.

Fornette had 92 on saturday. He also had more receiving yards in the game than APs entire freshman year.

He is gonna be great for sure. give him time. You do realize in high school he was so big and strong he didnt have to go where the play was designed to go. he went where he wanted and broke everyones tackles. Once he learns that he HAS to follow his blockers and let the play develop and explode, he will be great. He just hasnt had to do that his entire life. Just give him some time. He'll get the kinks worked out for sure! He is too talented to be a flop barring no injuries.

Toefield was special

D. Davis was special

Jeremy Hill was special

Sorry but you are wrong on this one man. Those were 3 special backs.

Yeah but, He didn't have to face the unrealistic expectations of being compared to himself.

Fournette hasn't made the adjustment that all backs must make from high school to college football yet. In college you gotta make a cut and get up the field, if you break into the open field, use your vision and elusiveness to take it to the house. Fournette nor any other back can outflank the defense wide like he did in high school. He will learn this and adjust. When he does look out. Oh, and he has the best hands catching the ball on a tailback that I have seen in quite a while.

By game 4 he will be showing why he was so highly touted. It's taken him a couple of games to get up to speed and stop trying to go through people. I saw hints last week.

I think he will end up being great. But right now, he is not. Of course I'm expecting improvement. But if Hilliard and Magee are better backs that are more adapted to the college game right now, shouldn't they be getting more carries?

It was 56-0 you idiot. Who got the carries trailing by 17? The srs. That's who we will rely on this year. Shsu is the exact team you want your freshmen playing and others getting a rest.
