the FACTS were that Sherman was a damn fine offensive coach

There's 4 teams' worth of evidence that doesn't support that claim.

Green Bay: He'll always be remembered for "4th and 26".

Houston (OC): Multiple 3rd/4th quarter collapses during his tenure

Texas A&M (HC/OC): 15 3rd/4th quarter collapses of 2+ scores in 4 years

Miami (OC): Incognito fiasco

But Sumlin must deal with this reality and win games

Absolutely. The SEC probably won't change concerning the strength of the conference. We all have to step up and play tough, hard nosed football if we are to compete. And if our coaches can't adjust, then we go and find a coach who can.

I love how everyone conveniently forgets that pretty much all of sports media was predicting A&M to go on a long string of under .500 regular seasons (including OOC play) and last place finishes in the West when they joined the SEC.

Fair. A&M is performing at a level that was expected for the most part.
The thing is that after the JFF “magical” (3rd place in their division) season in 2012 Aggies ran up their mouths saying with their $’s they were going to take over the SEC and the CF world. A&M is not and will never be a Championship program, is just not meant to be. It is an also ran in its own state, like Oklahoma State. Sure they will occasionally field good solid teams and have a few nice seasons… but they will never put a run like LSU, Florida, USC, Oklahoma not to say Alabama have put together of 8-12 years of Championship level teams.

Running your mouths just exposed the myth and the fraud to more people. A&M was always mediocre, just more people now about it now.

I mean as much as it pains me I have to agree with boxer here. There have been two threads I know of quoting obvious Texas slanted articles. Not really objective journalism you know.

There is a mountain of evidence confirming the bias.

Conference re-alignment was hilarious for that very reason. The more angry and unflattering the articles became, the more we knew the decision was the correct decision.
