Wow, a pay and position decrease just to get away from Arky, what's going on in Fayetteville?

That's telling. I have no idea what it is telling us.......but it's telling, nonetheless.

This was a mutual parting all the way.

His scheme is a better fit in the B1G and not the SEC. We had a bad defensive year and his safeties were among the worst (his position). Also he isn't a good recruiter.

Bielema has a well orchestrated plan, just waiting for the final days of January to roll off the calendar.

Ohio State officially announced the hiring of Chris Ash as co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Thursday, rounding out Meyer’s coaching staff for now, according to a press release.

An OSU spokesman said in an email Thursday afternoon Ash is set to earn $520,000 as part of the Buckeyes’ coaching staff.

Ash earned $550,000 this past season at Arkansas, according to the USA TODAY coaches database.

Good luck to him. I didn't have much bad to say about him except his position never got better throughout the year and I don't remember him ever signing any big name recruits for us.

Actually most of the recruits said they didn't even know him. It's no coincidence that after Ash left from Arkansas for Ohio State that Solomon Thomas' interest in Arkansas skyrocketed and he completly dropped Ohio State.
That being said I thought he was a good football coach and I wish he would have stayed just for the sake of letting the players finally get familiar with a DC. I wouldn't say he was a bad recruiter, I would say he wasn't a recruiter

i'm not mad- i have realized for a long time that i simply don't like auburn fans at all.

Auburn fans are my favorite non-LSU fans on the Interwebz.

I guess that means my posts probably make you go:

Chris Ash had them thinking they were playing flag football. Can't cross the line of scrimmage until you've counted to 5!

Solomon Thomas told Bielema if Ash was DC he wouldn't be coming to Arkansas because Ash didn't try very hard to make a connection with him.

Recruiting analysts had started trending Thomas to Ohio St. then Urbz hires Ash and Thomas eliminates Ohio St.

Not a coincidence at all that Bielema told him to let the door hit him where the Lord split him.

Hogs won't miss him, the next hire will be an upgrade, even if only slightly.
