Oh so your football revenue is still far less than Texas'.? Old news.

Would have still lost 2 games. The passing games in the big 12 would have given them fits. They were fortunate to be in the sec from that perspective.

What point? That you still can't get in a bowl better than the cotton even with a Heisman winner? And that Texas has tons more dough?

Exposure, cocksucker. Sips want to hoard it, and now they can't (at least not at A&M's expense). The Dallas Morning News/Houston Chronicle/AAS are not the only news sources talking about A&M now. Just being in the SEC GUARANTEES a minimum of 11 games on NATIONAL TV!!!! You have NO CONTROL over A&M's Nation Exposure. Do you get it? Do I need to type slower?

The depths of spin to which the Longhorn faithful will sink...
You can't honestly believe that, because the SEC has 6 teams in the top 10, A&M potentially going to the same bowl as Texas means the two programs are getting the same kind of attention, the same press, or are viewed the same in the eyes if recruits or anyone not bleeding burnt orange all over the place right now. That's a whole lot of cognitive dissonance you're engaging in there.
The cumulative effects of this season will take years to fully impact UT. If UT holds on to Mack, you think he'll be able to climb to 8 wins next year? After all the negative attention around the program now? With whom at QB exactly? What happens down the road after A&M has flipped the script on recruiting for the 14 class and then after a 6-6 season for UT next year A&M does the same with the 15 class and UT has two classes in a row that are good, but suddenly second-fiddle to A&M's talent? Remember that despite dominating in-state recruiting, Mack's only won 2 Big XII Championships. What can he win without being stocked with blue chips?
I say this without knowing that UT will hold on to Mack. If they make some huge splash hire, I think they're right back in the game. But UT's a program that's done what little it has done in the Mack era by coasting on prestige. Wrap your head around a prestige-less UT... it happened from 1984-1998.

Is A&M recruiting in.California.or.something? Pretty sure they have to.fight for recruits within only.a 100.yards.of their campus.

I would like to note that Kent Motherfricking State will likely go to a better bowl than the sips--perhaps even a BCS bowl.

wtf is this even supposed to mean? RG3's baylor team went to the fricking Alamo Bowl JUST. LAST. YEAR.
I leave for half a day and you're still in here 'tarding up this thread.

Actually it looks like we are going to get two of the top players from Hawaii this year. Aloha!
As I said, just go back and fap to your VY '05 NC Videos (just skip over the part where his knee hit the ground). Texas may have won the past but A&M is winning the future.

Texas has tons more dough
The thing that the texass admin, boosters, and insiders are starting to understand is that money isn't everything. texass took its eye off the ball and couldn't differentiate between what is financially beneficial and what is brand beneficial... the 2 are usually aligned but they can take divergent paths at some point.
No need to go into a long explanation of why this is true.
As an Aggie fan I can say is that as long as texass fans, the AD, the alumns, etc.. think that the best measurement of a program is the amount of money a university can take in and it's estimated worth... well... you guys have problems running so deep you can't begin to understand.
A&M likes TV money and athletic revenue as well as almost anyone. When you put this as priority #1 above all else then you doomed.
Keep quoting revenue and keep quoting estimated worth of the texass athletic department or value of the football program because it is all a bunch of bullshite. Do you have any idea how weak that shite sounds?
I may put a $100 million value on my heart, but I can't sell it now can I? So texass has a high estimated worth on their athletic program... who gives a frick? Is texass going to sell the athletic department to another school? Then why is "estimated worth" so important to you people?
Do you realize how stupid you sound when you quote numbers such as "worth"?
I went to Tuscaloosa and visited the Bryant Museum. let me tell you something... the entire texas athletic department, LHN, Walmart t-shirt sales, DKR stadium, etc.. isn't worth everything in that one small museum.
That's a fact.

Well said.
National Exposure in the key. Texas HS football players want to be on NATIONAL TV. In the Fartbox 12 only 2 teams got any because the regional nature and lack of national interest.

This.
Texas can win recruiting national championships and revenue national championships every season, and most of the time they do win one or both of those, but if it doesn't amount to wins, (and it hasn't - only 2 Big XII Championships in 14 years), then WHAT IS THE POINT?

Austin WESTLAKE. Without traffic, about 10 minutes from UT's campus. He grew up a Longhorn fan, and excellent evaluator of talent he is, Mack Brown DIDN'T EVEN OFFER. I guess because Swope was a RB in HS and Mack said "White RB? I'll pass" without even considering that the guy, who is second fastest on our team, could be converted to WR. More greatness from Mack. I hope he never leaves.

He is so obviously nothing but a longhorn fan ONLY that not eve HE could make an argument to prove he is anything BUT. The dude rattles off Sip talking points like his name is Deloss. There is no way in HELL he even likes LSU.
