LSU simply doesn't have the horses to keep up with the Gators. This isn't TCU, or that swiss cheese UGA defense.

This coming from a fan of the team that had South Alabama 1st and goal to tie or win in the last minute? A team that is in its 5th year of existence and first full schedule as a DI team?

1. We must stop Hill. Mett will make plays, but if we can frustrate Lsu by plugging up the run this works for us. We have the best pass d in the nation, though mett and his two NFL receivers will get theirs, if we can make Lsu force throws in tight windows vs our dbs it bolds well for us.

2. Average over 4 ypc. Uf needs to control the pace of the game.

3. No turnovers - Lsu is too good to make mistakes vs in their house and win.

4. Put mett on his butt - We have to keep mett uncomfortable in the pocket, make him nervous and hope it leads to overthrows, picks, etc.

5. I must wear my black gator hat. We haven't lost a game when i am wearing it, so It's got to be worn.

We have the ability to minimize 1 through 4.

We'll have an answer for 5 by game time.

i think uf is alot like lsu the last few years. you don't have a whole lot of room for error offensively. doesn't mean you can't win, but you will have to physically control us(you did last year). as good as your defense is, i feel like we'll be able to score enough to get by a tough gator team.

Since LSU doesn't have instate rivals...you don't understand that the Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Gables played like mad men and won the damn game...hats off...their DL stood up our inside run game and Driskel threw all over the place...we outgained them 2 to 1 dude...but we had 5 turnovers...they couldn't do shite for 3 qts. Our defense blasted them. Their great rb Duke Johnson got minus yds after 1st qt...got it?

Watch the game Saturday and get back with me about our defense....oh...defense is when the other team has the ball.

. I agree with all of this. It's why I predict a loss for LSU.

Well then I'm crazy too, because I'll take two our two juniors at WR over freshmen and sophomores at CB any day. I don't care how good you are. Beckham and Landry are on a level Hargreaves has yet to face.

So you're saying UF went into a hostile environment and shite the bed? You're also comparing Miami stadium to Tiger stadium correct?

The difference is that UF will struggle to score while LSU will be able to score although UF has the best defense in the nation. Right now the LSU passing game is giving lessons on how to move the ball in the air against SEC defenses. I say LSU 29 Gators 10.

They are giving lessons to crappy secondaries.

I think LSU will make plays, but if you think you are going to have an easy time against our freshman, and sophomore corners you are wrong. I think it is an even match up. The key will be the running game for LSU, and how Murphy handles a hostile environment.

JD couldn't handle being behind at Miami the entire game. He made horrible decisions and costs us the game. Murphy feels the pressure, and makes the right decisions in times of distress. This is a fundamental and critical difference between Florida now, and Florida that got beaten by Miami.

This will be a close game, and a great battle.

I think one of the biggest key's to this game is getting the ball to the backs in different ways than just power. I would like to see them continue to throw to the backs out of the backfield and we need to get the TE position involved.

We haven't had to use anyone but OBJ and Landry yet this year, but I think it is imperative to give Florida more than just two people to worry about.

On defense, LSU would do well to get some turnovers, but the biggest thing to me is just forcing field goals.

If LSU turns Florida drives into field goals, then I think LSU can outscore them, even with Florida's studly defense.

Play calling is crucial.

True, and the same can be said for UF (esp. with how Mett and the offense has played this year).

I hope we don't go with Burton in the wildcat in the RZ.

LSU has excelled scoring and converting 3rd downs. This needs to continue.

which makes this even more interesting because the UF D is pretty good on third down D as well. The more I think about all this, the more excited I am for kickoff.

I can't get an honest answer in the Hargreaves thread so I'm going to reask it here.

quote:

re: UF fans, Hargreaves question (Posted on 10/7/13 at 9:18 pm to ReauxlTide222) Do the UF fans expect him to lock down either obj or Landry? Or are any of you realistic? Y'all really think he won't make a couple freshman mistakes against our passing game? Y'all think he's better right now than white or verrett from tcu who are in the top the rounds in every mock on earth? Landry and beckham abused the tcu corners. This kid is great. I haven hardly seen any UF games though, and I wasn't watching him specifically when I did. Does he usually lock down the number 1? "We run our practices just like the Ravens and 49er's. No big deal" - Cam Cameron on LSU

Yes, I think both Landry or OBJ will get open.

I am not sure people have seen the throws Mett makes. He literally puts them in a spot only Landry or OBJ can make. I don't care what CB is on them, Mett & team are getting their yards.
