This, in addition to extremely talent rich States pretty much to themselves, with both populations completely bought in. I mean I purposefully ignored Georgia Tech for a reason. There are 4x more Georgia fans in the city of Atlanta than their are Tech, and Georgia isn't losing talent to Tech, nor is LSU losing talent to a regional school.

Um...outside of literally Miami-Dade county, the same is basically true for Miami- its a school without a fanbase that had an amazing run for about a decade (coincidentally in the middle of a cocaine boom where billions in untraceable cash was flowing through the city) then a mini-revival in the early 00s (good for maybe 4 years then falling off the map again) where they likely also had insane, SMU levels of player payments going on.

FSU and Florida can co-exist a lot better than Alabama and Auburn- if anything Alabama is a major power and Auburn is a good but only occasionally great school.

Seriously, please explain what in the past 25 years would make you think Auburn and Alabama can better co-exist than Florida and Florida State-- and remember in that time period both Florida and Florida State have won more titles than Auburn has won since say integration.

I know some will laugh at Arkansas, but who else hired their current coach away from a top-10 P5 school? The one before that was hired away from a NFL team.

Oh good a list more laughable than the OP. Seriously, can someone at some point please explain the absurdly high level Arky fans seem to think their program is on?

I mean what's the difference in terms of programs between MSU and Arkansas?

Florida is so far out of place in that list. Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and LSU are all without question better jobs. Florida's facilities are pretty shitty right now, their AD refuses to put money into them IIRC.

Have you actually been to or seen the facilities or are you just going off what a few reporters have said? They are far from shitty which certainly makes me think its the latter.

Foley puts money into facilities, he just doesn't believe in running up $250 million in athletic debt, that's not the way we operate.

It also hurts that we actually compete in more than one or two sports-- I mean when you try to win titles in everything you have to spread the money around a bit.

You might have had an argument by saying "big" brother, but when last I checked, 1876 comes before 1894.

And currently shitting all over UF in recruiting

So....Golden has better recruiting numbers after 4 years than a coach who hasn't started his first season?

Can we finally debunk this BS narrative? It isn't even top 5 in this conference. This is how my list would go.

1. LSU
2. Georgia
3. Alabama
4. Auburn
5. TAMU

Here, let me help you...

1. Bama
2. Florida
3. Georgia
4. LSU
5. Auburn
6. TAMU

My list combines an evaluation of program history, natural recruiting area, facilities, potential to develop players for the next level.

LSU #1? Funny troll dude.

Bear Bryant once said about the University of Florida (back in the 1960's, I think) "there's a sleeping giant down there". The same holds true today. The only way to screw up what UF provides with regard to football is to hire incompetent people. The university and what it provides to the program? Top notch and easily one of the best in the country.

You are dumb.

You might make the case that Florda is a better job than TAMU, but recently the Aggs have capitalized on the failings of their arrogant older brother in Austin and pretty much taken control of Texas, so i'd say TAMU is better.

There are so many things right and wrong with that statement. Others have pointed some of them out, but let's list them.

Wrong:
1. We're older (as others have already said)
2. We're bigger (said)
3. We capitalized on their stupidity and arrogance, not their shite product on the field.
4. We're probably not quite better than Florida, generally. If we actually win some hardware and continue on an upward trend, and Florida continues to be mediocre, then I may agree.

Right:
1. The fricking longhorns are arrogant
2. The fricking longhorns are in Austin
3. We have taken control of the state
4. frickLSU®*

*always the right answer.

Brandon Bolden was a three star athlete from Scotlandville HS. LSU offered him a scholarship to play LB. But he wanted to play tailback. Not really our fault.

oddly enough, Ole Miss wanted Stevan Ridley, of Natchez, to play LB, and LSU signed him as a RB
