Even wilder is the same people who argued that Jordan Travis was so invaluable to FSU that he made them a championship level team and without him they could not compete voted him 5th in the Heisman voting.

if the committee followed the rules, why did they keep FSU ranked no.4 for three weeks after their QB got injured, and then all of a sudden drop them out of the top 4 after they won their conference championship. and they remained undefeated!.

Do you have a link for this info?

All schools voted in favor of the criteria just like all school voted against player tampering and no NIL to be used to lure players from one school to another.

But the athletic departments all agreed that it must be the criteria followed by each school.

This is going to be a hoot because some of the money has probably already changed hands and if they lie on the paperwork it becomes a first degree felony.

first degree felonies carry up to 30 years in Florida. I think you mean 3rd degree.

So tell me what good is a subpoena from Fl outside of FL?

Sorry you guys got "left" out the cfp and your feelings are hurt.

Who's the victim in this? The state of FL? Or the Acc? Or Fsu?

Only person that can do anything about this is the US AG.

Personally I'd be pissed that the state is wasting 1 million dollars on this when public schools need money and there are hungry homeless people in the state.

Also what moron thinks 1 million dollars will be close to what they'll need for litigation? Just goes to show you how stupid this all is.

That’s the part that people don’t either know or want to acknowledge. The acc is the one who decided against the 12 team playoff for the 2023 season. If they (and the big 10) hadn't tried to block it, fsu would be in and so would a lot of other teams

What a fun year it would be to see at least 4 SEC teams in the expanded CFP this year including OleMiss & Mizzou. Oh well.

They lost their starting QB. They aren’t even a top 10 team with their 3rd string QB. Simple as.
Tell me with a straight face that Alabama would be passed-over for a playoff spot if Milroe went down for the rest of the season in Week 10 after going 13-0.

The CFP cherry picks their criteria to fit their narrative than the other way around. They colluded to leave out FSU for broadcast money reasons solely.

Wild to think that an AG from Florida thinks winning the ACC (even as an undefeated team) means more than winning the SEC.

It just means more.
This is a ludicrous take.

Are there P5 tiers where SEC is on top and the other conferences are at a lower tier? No there isn’t. Even if you think in your head that there is. All P5 conferences are the same. Sorry bub.

Therefore, the committee is making up phony criteria that isn’t found in the CFP charter. Any excuse the CFP makes to exclude FSU is simply illegal bias.

Antitrust victims would be college football fans.
Secondary would be FSU as an institution.

States involve in antitrust all of the time. They are enforcers of antitrust law violations. At least the FTC seems to think so.
Are you new to America?

That's like saying businesses can break laws and harm citizens because there is hunger in our elementary schools. You are clueless about the attorney general's job. Just admit it. You shite thoughts on the secrant and don't expect to ever get called on your bullshite posting.

FWIW, Jones was 3d string before season began. Braxton Miller was number 1 and had season ending injury in August before the season began. JT Barrett was hurt in the OSU/Michigan game.
Jones was 2d string the entire year and was a redshirt sophomore. He led OSU to a 59-0 win against a favored Wisconsin team.

Losing Zeke Elliot (1800+) yds rushing in 15 games would have affected the team worse than Barrett IMO.

AG from Florida is already involved in legislation with Disney, and this is just another piece of the legislative puzzle. ESPN execs will be forced to give up a lot of information, and it will happen.

Should be interesting to watch. I’m all for exposing the corruption in the system. When A&M was passed over it wasn’t about the “best four” teams - it was about the entire year as a way to get ND in. ND was absolutely crushed in its championship game the week before selection.

The criteria changes from year to year based on what the media needs to get what they want. At the very least, we might finally get a stable set of criteria.

Explain to all us fine folks here how a Florida AG has standing to bring suit against an entity that was not organized, or currently resides, in the state of Florida.
