Not many posters on here can say that they actually attended a game in Commonwealth the last time Kentucky was at the top of the SEC in football

I was, course I also remember when the SEC had 12 teams including Tulane and Georgia Tech.

That is going back there a way...I miss the 10 team conference days sometimes.

I'm confused. You're an Arky fan and you're being nice to another SEC fan base? Don't you fear being shunned by the family?

Its Kentucky in football. I like to save up my dislike for Kentucky until basketball season rolls around. Hating Kentucky during basketball season is like savoring a fine whiskey. Hating Kentucky during football season is like swilling down Maddog 20/20.

Besides I don't like to put the boots in while someone is down.

Unless they are Texas. Frick the Whorns.

Going to look great when completed.

I feel like fans have been begging for blue end zones all my life and is couldn't believe it until I saw the turf go down.

Looks like the base for one endzone is almost done already:

Also, the new blue bench backs on the visitor's side look good.

I really wish the Cats and Hogs would play more in football especially if UK got another fat QB. Those were the salad days my friend.

Wish they'd do the whole stadium in blue like that. It's sharp.

Sept 5th can't get here soon enough. I find myself unnecessarily detouring down Alumni drive on occasion just to see the progress on the exterior. Commonwealth is going to look awesome in the fall.

How are you doing that? Thought they closed that whole road between N road and TC road intersections about 2 weeks ago?

Also, the turf won't be an absolute disaster in November/December as it has been forever.

Mizzou has turf for the same reason. The climate zone of Kentucky and Missouri makes it near impossible to maintain nice grass in the late season.

Willing to bet it will not happen until after MB is no longer the AD

Amen. We need to start it up again soon before I get much older. In another decade or so I'm not sure my heart could handle another OT classic.

Any plans on doing your schedule guides again? The ones you had last season were great for finding out where and when the games were.

Because of the alcohol related incident back when they stopped it...it will never return. The SEC is too PC.

Have they? I havent been that way in a little bit. I live out TC. I just got back from South Carolina on Wednesday. I also hear there's a bunch of hullabullo about some turn off Clays Mill. Who knows what's going on with our roads anymore.

Agreed. Perhaps an alternative trophy idea could be considered. I'd much rather UK-UT convince the powers that be to revive it though.
