And none of those Bama players will become the man TM7 is today. He was taught to overcome his tribulations. And he became a very successful man after his college experience.

Saban should have just quickly nipped it in the bud with a simple, "All charges were ultimately dropped, therefore why should they be suspended?"

Two other people in the car got better treatment than Cam and Hootie. You don't know them I guess?

Actually, I know Cam and Hootie. I graduated the same year as they did and have met them through mutual friends. Hootie actually knocked up a girl I went to school with from kindergarten through high school, but that's a different story.

These guys had a stolen firearm with drugs in the car. The stolen firearm is a felony in itself. In the state of Louisiana, it's illegal to even have a legally owned firearm in the prescense of drugs, no matter who they belong to in a vehicle full of people. Both of my grandfather's were cops here in Monroe, and they were even shocked these guys walked with nothing. Hell, I know a guy that received a dui for blowing a 0.025 BAC.

Louisiana does have a diversion process for first time offenders though, where you remain on probation before charges can be expunged, but these guys were able to bypass that.

"Privately" expressing this sentiment to the biggest shite stirrer in SEC media was a stroke of genius by Saban.

Not sure why Saban has to be a little bitch every media day.
Maybe he should just skip it altogether since he obviously doesn't want to be there and how dare anyone question Saban.
Good for Finebaum for going where no other media member would for fear of being undressed in front of everyone.

Finebaum on what Saban said off the air
by Sneaky__Sally

what was the air conditioning history of the two other individuals in the car? Its really just a shame that two fine young men had to have their names run through the mud because of some overzealous officers who had it in for them because they left Louisiana for better opportunities.

Again, HOW would the police officers know these were Alabama football players ?????
I guess it didn't have anything to do with possession stolen firearms and drugs ???????? In other words, what they were CHARGED with doing, the actual felonies themselves.

By the same token, that must mean that the Monroe D.A. who declined to prosecute must somehow be an Alabama fan ????????????????????????????

Better opportunities? WTF are YOU smoking ??? Louisiana, despite the oil industry downturn (it is now rebounding) has had a very strong economy since the aftermath of Katrina, and continues to do so.

Was the guy under 21? It drops to .02 BAC if you are under 21. Also, you can be arrested for DUI for things other than alcohol.

Yeah he was 20. I know that's the law, but it's very borderline. He drank two beers more than an hour before he drove to go eat with his family.

See, that's what makes this whole thing even more dastardly. These police were obviously stalking the young athlete's, waiting for them to jaywalk or fail to use a turn signal and Trump it all up into something more sinister. Again, thank God the DA saw through the corrupt ruse. I hope these officers have been reprimanded and hopefully demoted.

Praise Allah, they weren't charged with anything.

I don't know looking at their faces and also having seen them before. Maybe they were wearing their alabama warmups or saw the Alabama student card in their wallets.

I mean the stolen firearm was probably belonging to one of the other passengers who got let go.

He is just and impartial advocate for justice doing his best in a corrupt system.

Yeah......under 21, the legal limit drops to .02, not .08. Your friend blew .025 and he was 20 y/o. That's over the legal limit......

It isn't borderline at all. In fact, it is as black and white as you can get. I can go out an blow a .08 and will be booked.

Weren't the two other passengers Monroe natives?
