How exactly does Cecil feel about Auburn? He may have bad feelings towards Auburn and just waiting until Cam gets settled in with the pros, and then he spills his guts. He just doesn't seem like the most loyal person, and Cam would have gotten to the pros playing on any team,so he won't necessarily feel that Auburn did anything special for his son, but they were the ones that made him feel unwelcome, and even asked him to stay away from his championship game. Auburn even prevented him from being at the Heisman award ceremony, and that probably made him pretty mad.
Just a little something to think about, if someone offers Cecil the big bucks, he will spill his guts, because it won't cost the Newton family anything, and he'll pay Auburn back for the way that they treated him.

If Cecil speaks it only hurts Cam and his legacy. Cam will have a $20M+ contract, so I do not think Cecil will need the money. Keep dreaming up scenario's.

If Aub gets dinged for anything it will be because of bobby lowder...and no I don't buy into the fbi sting or dirty loans. I just think he has had his hand in way to much aub for way to long and he has been heavy handed with people over that same course of time. When someone with dirt doesn't need him or his cover anymore they will talk, more so to get him but aub will catch some flack. The question is how big will it be.

If you recall, Sports By Brooks (i know, I know) had a story about a prominent sec asst being asked to find another job right after season was over but not being able to despite reaching out to former employers. That coach was troop. I was told this by a former coach with au ties. I asked why not just fire troop then if you dont want him and was told 'He knows too much & wouldnt play nice if he was fired & you would have to explain why he was fired if he didnt immediately go to a new job. AU didnt want to have to explain'.
I would be shocked if he was on staff at au in 2012. My guess is he either takes an OC job at some smaller school and claims he is doing so to pursue dream of leading team, or he gets in trouble w/ ncaa. I've had 2 people - previously mentioned coach & someone in football operations at another sec school tell me they expect ncaa to hammer him over miami stuff. Football ops guy said if ncaa wants to dig enough they would find enough to "show cause tropper's arse".
The guy is bad news & au as a fanbase and a team deserves better.
Side note: I was also told by former coach with au ties that trooper has basically no in depth knowledge of Gus' offense, just coaches his position and makes phone calls, has no gameplanning input, and if he doesnt find another job by then has zero chance at oc when gus leaves.

Well I guess we'll find out sooner or later if its all legit. For what its worth, I know for a fact that troop does more than just "coach his position and make calls". Not saying what you said isn't true, but your coach may be a bit off on that aspect. In the end, i've stopped worrying about it because its either going to get us eventually or not, and until real facts and not just rumors come out, no use worrying.
