PF logic is based on Cam saying he and his dad are close. Finebaum is trying hard to be relavant on the national level, problem is most people who hear him equate him to Jerry Springer. Until he stops catering to the locals, he will never be anything more than a host of a local radio show.

No, he is not more respected. He is an assclown that speaks to the lowest dregs of society.
However, he is not just a local radio hack. Local radio hacks aren't invited on OTL every week.

No, they bring on the Joe Schads, Tony Barnhart, and Luginbils of the sports world, who all happen to be friends of PF. Most of Paul's fame came out of the Orlando Paper article claiming he was one of the most influential reporters in college football. He has never lived up to that billing.

No, his fame came out of the fact that he wrote an article for a ton of years that was read by the whole state. Hell, the guy was one of about 4 reporters who got an interview before the Liberty Bowl with Coach Bryant. The only other guy I can recall having that distinction is Phillip Marshalls dad...

Finebaum was actually a pretty well respected sports reporter....his radio show doesn't work for me, but it does for a whole bunch of people. And whether we like it or not, he has become one of the go to guys for the national sports media when it concerns the SEC.

You and I are on the same page. I can't stand his radio show, but to deny that he is plugged in with the know is a fools errand.
