I can't get excited cause my team was laying big hits the whole game and even when we were down we showed swagger? Give me a break. That game was one of the most encouraging defensive games in terms of attitude I've seen in 5 years. Also see sc and UGA last year.

Our 2015 OL class right now looks damn good. Robertson from the '14 class will be very good. If Coleman Thomas pans out, we should be alright.

Maybe he will maybe he won't. We both know he wasn't expected to play, and so far nothing he has done proves he will be "very good".

Either way, 97% of OL take 2-3 years to develop into good SEC OL. Tennessee is a few years behind and doesn't appear to have any Cam Robinson, Laramy Tunsil types on their radar to plug in immediately.

held OU to 3 of 12 on 3rd downs and have held opponents to 7 of 31 on 3rd downs the whole year

The D gave up 27 points and also gave OU the ball at the 18 yard line after Devrin Young's KO return fumble

Remember Stoops was going to hang half a hundred on the VOLS last week?

I'm pumped for the future of this team. We only lose Worley and Lane on offense after this year, while adding another potentially elite back in Kamara to pair with Hurd and Scott. The OL will be better when they are a year older. North, Malone, Pearson, Pig and Smith will be back at WR while we also add Preston Williams. The big question mark is obviously QB but if that's sorted out, the offense will be filthy.

AJ Johnson is the only defensive player worth a shite that we lose on D and that will hurt but thankfully, I think our LB unit is the strongest part of the defense. UGA fans can say what they want about Jancek but this is the most well coached Tennessee defense I can remember in a very long time.

I wouldn't be surprised if we win 7 games this season tbh.

You got beat convincingly by a much better team. If you play them again next year, the same thing is going to happen again.

We were coming off of four years of Mike Shula...which is probably the equivalent.

I remember sitting in Samford Stadium in 2003 and listening to Bama fans talk about how proud they were because we didn't give up when UGA took a 28 point lead. The same thing happened after we kept it somewhat close with AU in 2004.

You can be proud of what you're building, but the overreaction to not getting a 50 spot dropped on y'all is ridiculous.

Yea, I'd put these % for UT rest of year

@ UGA - 10%
Florida - 40%
Chattanooga - 100%
@ Ole Miss - 20%
Alabama - 10%
@ South Carolina - 25%
Kentucky - 70%
Missouri - 40%
@ Vanderbilt - 85%

That puts you at roughly 2+4=6 wins.

Fair?

You can go ahead and keep trying, but I am nothing but encouraged about our defense after that game. We were out in tough situations, ou started off with some great field position, and we held them to a field goals when they would've had touchdowns last year. We held them to 3-12 in third down, we contained well, and we were playing a bunch of freshmen and sophomores on the road at a very touch place to play.

The remarkable thing about all our down years is I can count on my right hand the number of times we just got taken to the woodshed and most were in 2003.

Shula was the master of the 16-13 loss.

In our first really good class of freshman's first road game they were beating #1 Georgia 31-0 at halftime

I would say that's fair. I think we've got a better shot against Florida and Mizzou though.

Yea, still not sure what to make of either of them (or us for that matter).

We will have a much better understanding of Florida after this weekend and Mizzou after USCe comes to town, I think.

But yea on the surface I'd almost put Florida at 50-50 for you guys, though their D-line vs your O-line seems a tad scary.

I think the SEC East may be as crazy as the West this year, just not as good.

That's my biggest concern with them. Well that and whatever voodoo it is that they have on us

Yeah, we sold our entire 5000 ticket allotment and bought some of OUs. You can say a lot about UT, but saying we don't have good fan support is not one of them.

Folks in Norman were saying this was the most represented fanbase they have seen.

All things considered, the defense looked serviceable.

There's no doubt in my mind that OU was the best team we'll play this year. It was a respectable performance by the youngest team in America.

Honestly... IMO Stillwater is the better city of the two Oklahoma schools to visit. Norman is so close to OKC that its damn near impossible to justify staying there and checking the scene out once the game is over.

Also, Big 12 allots far less visitor tickets than the SEC does. Considering that fact I'd say Tennessee traveled just fine.
