No need to quote that he was shooting from the hip and missed, Sooner fans were impressed at how well we traveled. As someone said we sold our 5k and I would guess we bought at least another 1k of Sooner tickets.

I always stayed with friends at OU in Norman when we played and had a great time. They have a fun bar scene.

its ok but I just couldn't ever bring myself to stay there when OKC is all of a half hour away.

part of my preference is probably due to having a better time with Okie Light folks than the Sooners.

Yeah I only stayed there because it was a free place to stay when I was in school and I had several friends who went there. I would likely stay in OKC now. It's a fun college town though

You lost. You suck.

That's about the depth I've seen from most opposing fans on this site before now.

Tennessee actually dominated Oklahoma's offense in the 2nd half.

They were under 100 yards rushing until the final drive when they were running out the clock and the game was over.

We helped them out by giving them short field and throwing 2 interceptions in the end zone.

The 100 yard pick 6 was a 14 point swing. Would have been a 10 point game with 12 minutes to go.

But the reality is we are still rebuilding. We are a 6-6 football team and Okl is likely a playoff team.

UT played hard, and I think they'll do well with Butch J. The OL situation needs to be addressed big time.

Ha I was thinking the same thing, and by some Bama fans no less. Lots of good points and pretty fair evaluations.

I really think Jones is pretty good and I like the way his teams play.

Still hate you though

I think Tennessee will have a chance to win every home game this year. Bama being the least likely obviously.

I am interested to see this UGA next week after the bye. Does this young team make a really big jump with the extra week to review the first 3 weeks and prepare for another big road game?

I think so...I think this game is a nail biter.

I think Tennessee's problem in SEC play is going to be their O-line play. When you have an immobile QB, young RBs and a bad O-line it is going to be really hard to get a lot going.

I think the defense is adequate and will better as the year goes on, I just don't think the OL is very talented. Not going to be easy for guys like Kerbyson and the other non-FR to improve much.

And their schedule is not kind in terms of DL (UGA, Bama, Mizzou, Ole Miss, Florida).

Tough matchups.

OL improvement is certainly a key.

Don't forget that Ethan Wolf was out of the OU game and he is a monster blocking TE for the VOLS. I think his presence would have helped significantly slowing down Striker.

Also Pearson was out and he is our best WR at catching short quick passes and making them turn into big plays.

Yep - the saving grace for Tennessee is having such a solid group of WR's. And that Worley has become really good at making good decisions under pressure.

You can really see why they decided to go with him and not one of the young guys (outside of that he is probably just better). Would probably be detrimental for one of them to just get hit and probably make bad decisions every week.

Worley is a warrior.

I seriously don't see how Worley makes it through the season playing against the DL from UGA, UF, Bama, Mizzou.

The same way Danny Wuerffel survived - fricker was just made of steel and kept getting back up. Worley's the only QB I've ever seen punished as much as Wuerffel was.

He reminds me a lot of John Parker Wilson, especially his first season.

That guy probably had 15-16 hits that year where I said "Oh gawd he's dead", and he just kept getting up and going back out there.

Not the best skills but tough as shite.

It's amazing what some of these guys can take and it's not always who you expect it to be - guys that don't look too tough turn out to be badasses on the field.

And yeah we're gonna have more than a few "oh gawd he's dead" moments if that line doesn't find some way to block.

Dubose, Franchione, Price, Shula >>>> Last few years of Fulmer, Kiffin, Dooley. Our rebuild is massive and time-consuming, but is in progress.
