Why does it matter so much to you? If he's such an over-inflated pick, then some NFL team will draft him and you can come back and post in a few years. You'll be vindicated and we'll all pat you on the back.

Ok badtyreke I will try and answer your question. Moncrief was an absolute stud for us and had he gone in any other draft, he would probably have been a late first or early 2nd round pick. It's just that draft was stacked with wr talent. Treadwell missed a good portion of his sophomore year so that's why his stats aren't much better. One of the most important attributes of a receiver is body control. It's not all about running fast and jumping high. You have to adjust in the air to the ball and have the coordination to not only catch the ball but stay in bounds. Laquons hands and body control are as good as any receiving prospect in recent drafts. He's not as explosive as Julio or obj, but you could argue he is more polished.

He is identical to Keyshawn Johnson and will be a similar wr in the nfl.

Calvin Johnson was considered the surest cant miss receiver ever drafted before the draft.

He's a great receiver that has all the tools for the NFL.

He has the potential to be a very good wr in the nfl from what I have seen, but his ability to be special will come down to the mental portion. He doesn't strike me as a dynamic game breaking type receiver at this point. His success will be determined on his ability to run clean routes and timing with his qb. If you look at all of the top nfl receivers they are either size/speed combo freaks or burners. Beckham is an anomaly given his athleticism and quickness. I think he is comparable to Hopkins and could end up being as successful, but on draft day none of the draft gurus saw Hopkins as a top flight receiver because it is an outlier case.

2. Since when is 97 catches in 2 seasons pedestrian for a 3rd rounder? That's a home run pick, and huge production at a position that usually develops slowly.

According to that stat he posted, the guy gets a first down and some change every time he touches the ball. I don't understand how that could possibly have been spun into a negative.

I think he needs to stay another year and answer the questions posed in this thread.

Please...do explain our extremely simple offense.

He had one one-hundred-yard game and one touchdown after Week 5 when we lost to Florida.

After that loss, he had five consecutive one-hundred-yard games, and 10 touchdowns.

By the way, when the UF-Ole Miss game got so bad I decided to just watch Treadwell on certain plays. We were getting our asses kicked and he was burying Tabor on running plays. It was so bad that when Tabor got up, he wouldn't even look at Treadwell. If Swag had more than 0.5 seconds to throw the ball, he could've forced it to Treadwell all day and done alright.

UF made him quit.

…the next year..

UF made him quit.

After that game, one team got their star player back and the other lost their star player. That first team finished 6-2 with a blowout win in a NY6 Bowl, the second finished 5-4 and got buttfricked by a Big Ten team.

I wouldn't take Treadwell top 5. He might be one of the 10 best players out there, but WR isn't nearly as expensive a position to fill via FA than OT, CB, QB, and pass rushers. If you have a decent one coming off a rookie contract you pretty much have to franchise them to keep them, so the FA market for LT and QB, for instance, is essentially non existent these days.

If I ran an NFL team I'd draft a QB and a potential LT in the first 3 rounds every single year. I wouldn't announce the plan, but it would be obvious after 2-3 years. Non football IR a low round rookie QB like Cincy did with McCarron if you have to. Avoid cancers like Manziel and those QBs maintain trade value as well.

Calvin Johnson played at Georgia Tech and was a freak athlete. Horrible, horrible comparison. Please stop posting.

I kinda agree. I don't think he is a bust but I don't see amari Cooper when I see him. I look at wrs like dez Bryant, Cooper and he's not close to either mainly because the system he's in but he's not the athlete dez was and doesn't have the precision route running ability Cooper has .... Yet.

Pharoah Cooper is the bestvwr in the sec. It's really not close honestly
