Yes. You continued to make yardage with it. A TOTAL of 93 yards in the second half.

You won the game. Don't fool yourself into thinking it was because of some great offensive performance, though. Your O was garbage all day long.

This game was about LSU's D and ST.

Spencer Ware HB option pass. Miles beats Saban with a play similar to the one Saban failed so hard with on 11/5

Maybe so, but it sure as hell won't be on some brilliant offensive performance by JJ.

JJ was forced into action after Lee screwed the pooch (Bama scored half their points of a Lee pick, BTW).

This time around:

1) Bama will not be able to feed off of Lee's mistakes.

2) JJ will be prepared as the starter.

3) We will stretch Bama's D early and often to the sideline. We are faster and they know it. The only thing they can do about it is to predict which way we are going. Expect some misdirection.

All these things PROBABLY mean that JJ and the LSU offense will perform better.

and if it comes down to that again(it will) the updykes will lose again. Your offense can't do shite against our d either so it will come down to special teams. You should really recruit some kickers; they come in handy from time to time.

I've yet to see anyone refer to our first game as a "great offensive performance," but it was good enough to win. Bama wasn't exactly scaring anyone with their offense that had a total of one trip into the red zone and moved in the wrong direction in overtime.

On the other hand, I think both defenses played about as well as they're capable of playing. Yes, we completely blew a coverage that led to a Bama field goal, but overall I thought our defense played well. So did Bama's.

Bama has 40 days to prep for the option game. Look at what happens to teams like Ga Tech when there is alot of time to prep for the option. LSU coaches are smart. They know this. I bet we dont see much option at all. It caught Bama off guard the first game. No one expected to see that much of Jefferson. They are prepared for it now.

40 days preparing for the option still doesn't magically make bama's huge linebackers faster.

Also, the ga tech reference is inaccurate, LSU runs the speed option, with a true threat as JJ being a passer, not the triple option.

Huge difference.

LSU's offense will be better this time around... These 40 days of thinking about the option and trick plays do not matter. It all comes down to converting 3rd downs on O and field position......( And kicking)

9-6 ;)

JJ's history has shown that with extra time to prepare for an opponent he is virtually unbeatable. Consistency has been his downfall, but he is money for the most part in bowl games.
