Maybe so, but it sure as hell won't be on some brilliant offensive performance by JJ.

we'll see. JJ seems to step up in bowl games.

JJ's bowl stats:

passing 39-68 5TD 2int 502 yds
rushing 119 yds 1TD
record 2-1

Lol. We hade to get him a paper bag, containing the $100K we paid him for that game, for him to breath into.

I made that same joke when y'all had Tony Franklin as OC but it still applicable here.

you haven't watched LSU much this year have you?

they've only done it in every game played this season so no, you certainly can't count on it

JJ is the key to the game. Does he step up, or does he end up like 09, sitting with his back to the 'Bama D looking the other way with his "injury" like he's in the frickin' "Blair Bitch Project"?

He can't blow it as bad as jarret lee. He just needs to do what lsu does best and run. A triple option pass should be in the arsenal. If we can score 21 points like ga southern then we will be victorious

I don't know what its called, but that play where JJ drops back to pass, seems to forget WTF he's supposed to do, and gets sacked- lets run that shite.

I see LSU going to the outside a lot in 1st to make those LB's run, then in 2nd half, a heavy dose of Hilliard and Ware between the tackles

For some reason, lots of fans seem to think the option caught Bama by surprise in the first game. Heck, we've been running it for years, so if it caught Bama by surprise, it was a miserable job of coaching by Saban and his staff. It wasn't a matter of being unprepared; LSU just executed better than Bama. Saban even remarked on the option going in at halftime, so certainly they made adjustments and expected it the second half, but LSU continued to make yardage with it.

JL was the starting QB Nov5. It doesn't mean we shouldn't have been ready. He was going to play some regardless. Its just not an easy play to defend against and JJ's pretty good at it. But now that he's the starter we'll prep a lot harder for that play and variations of it.
