Don't know if he will ever be HC material but Donovan still swears by him.

He was always a good assistant IMO. Should be a good addition for Johnson.

Between him, Simon and Pett that is a pretty solid all around staff.

Pett needs to live up to his rep and grab some of these in-state guys the next few years or, as much as I love him, it may be time for him to move on.

Florida will regret not promoting him.
If he's learned how to manage a high-major program, sure. But he was a mess at Arkansas and I wouldn't be comfortable with him as the lead guy.

He's a good assistant, though.

It would have been very foolish for Florida to promote him, maybe he can become a great head coach one day but it would be silly after what happened at Arkansas.

Arkansas has been a hot mess for awhile in fairness to Pel. He's a great assistant, and much like Travis Ford, probably more cut out for a smaller major gig.

Will never happen. You can't be a retarded pill head and run a basketball program.

It's truly amazing none of the stories about that loser never really made it out into public.

Also a dog killer. He will help run that program into the ground.

Fair, but he took it from a hot pile of shite to steaming and left it boiling diarrhea.

The thought was he needed to hire a solid college guy, so hopefully Pelphrey fits the bill.

Fans of teams he was an assistant for think he is good at it.

Fans of team he was head coach of think he was a joke.

Glad we are hiring him as an assistant.

He did have them turning the corner, just not fast enough for their liking. And so now you see the turmoil they've been in, similar to Tennessee and Counzo.

I thought he should have gotten at least one more year with the class he had coming in.In fact I was shocked when he was fired.

And we've been relevant since the 70's til the Nolan debacle.Just not lately unfortunately.
