Have they ever worked together before? Wondering if there's a connection here?

Don't think so. Pelphrey has only been in college and CAJ has only been in the NBA until this season. The thought was he needed to hire a solid college guy, so hopefully Pelphrey fits the bill.

Don't know if he will ever be HC material but Donovan still swears by him.

Seems like a good hire for what we needed. Solid assistant, knows the SEC front and back. Fills a need on the staff.

Definitely a signal that Battle is not impressed with Grant's management of the team and that he needs help leading within the college landscape

Just kidding. Good move by the Tide. Associate Head coaches that are worth a damn are invaluable

As long as Auburn has Tony Barbee, Bama will be fine

I'm offended by that as a person of non-color

As a Bama fan, the real win here is that we no longer have to hear him as a color analyst on SEC Network.
