I think it is a good hire. Yes, he has a past. But, he is a good assistant coach and Bama will benefit.

Back to Back to Back losing seasons in the SEC. One of those being 2-14 after beating top 10 Texas and Top 5 OU in the preseason. That's REALLY turning the corner.
He was a fricking joke and the program was a hot pile of dog shite.
He didn't even show up to practice on certain days, was constantly late to team meetings, players raping and robbing other students.
It was a GD catastrophe.

Head coach in waiting. Smart move by Johnson, who'll be heading back to a NBA HC gig in a season or two. Then Pelphrey can step right in....
