Mett or Les has to realize that their original gameplan may not work at some point, right?

Neither of these guys call the plays.

Right, but how many times did he make assumptions that resulted in detrimental effects for the Tigers?

Do I really need to start posting GIFs of some of the numerous behind-the-back, one-handed, around-the-defender catches that were made that year?

But after throwing three interceptions and being down 17-0 at one point, a rational coach, be it Les or Cam Cameron, has to believe "huh, maybe this isn't working? We should try something new. Maybe I'll tell my quarterback to check down instead of continue to chunk the ball into double coverage."

Until Leonard Fournette runs for 1500 yards like Hill in 2013, I think it's a bit forward to say he is a better player than Jeremy Hill, especially considering Hill's impressive rookie season in Cincinnati.

1124 rushing yards, 5.1 YPC, 9 TD, 215 receiving yards

I'm a huge Hill fan. There weren't many out there before he started getting carries in Cincy. I always had him as the best RB in last years draft. I'm not going to base my evaluation of the two on stats, though. But if you want to compare stats, Fournette had 1100+ yards as a freshman. Hill had 800. Fournette accounted for 1800 yards this season. Yes, 680ish were KO returns, but YOLO

I assume he did. All 3 picks were in the 1st half. Score at halftime was 10-0.

Final Score: 27-24

Hill was suspended for 2 games.

I actually don't remember much of the second half, outside of Korvic Neat being himself and characteristically muffing a punt deep in our own territory in the fourth quarter.

Yours truly was rather intoxicated at that game, and for good reason. It was a nail biter.

I realize Barrett Jones is one of tGOATs, but he did the following while in Tuscaloosa:
2009 - 14 starts at RG (freshman all-American)
2011 - 13 starts at LT (1st team all-SEC; unanimous 1st team all-American; Outland Trophy winner)
2012 - 14 starts at C (1st team all-SEC; unanimous 1st team all-American; Rimington Trophy winner)

Well, of course there are exceptions for tGOAT's.

In the NBA, you don't want a 6'8 guy rotating between running point, playing the 2 or 3, and posting up at PF...unless you have tGOAT LeBron James on your team.

1st possession for each team:
LSU - Punt
Ole Miss - TD

17-0

LSU would go to score 24 points on 4 of its next 5 possessions with one fumble. It was quite a remarkable "halftime adjustment."

A&M returns their whole team. I think they will be a very good team

Could see them winning 10 games

Until we prove we can win the big games (UF, OU, UGA). Then we are overrated at 20.

I think we are there talent wise though

K.

How did LSU do that? I remember Landry catching some hook route passes. Did Zach continue to toss up the deep ball?

No.

Yes it does completely! DJ welter was not a starter by years end and RR could be back with the team as soon as this summer

Yeah, he didn't really play at all the beginning of the season. He didn't record a stat in the North Texas, Washington, and Auburn games.

OK. Sorry... somewhere between here:

No.

Besides our o-line, we can fill every other position we lose with equal to better talent such as Redmond for Love, Myles/Gray for Jameon, Market for Hughes.

Benardrick will be replaced by Gerri Green and Richie and Josh Robinson won't be missed with Aeris/Shumpert, neither of which will be a terrible drop.

Obviously recreating or exceeding last years success won't be likely, but we don't lose near as many people who contributed as most think.

LSU completed three passes of 20+ yards in the second half. LSU really benefited from short fields from Ole Miss turnovers.

Sark has never won 10 games, never lost less than 4 games. But yea, sure, playoff here they come.

ESPN has a hard on for USC being good again, particularly since they moved operations to LA.
