You disagree that with improved QB play LSU couldn't be a top 10 team?
Where have you been the last decade?
I don't disagree with this. I disagree with his post. QB development isn't guaranteed.
FWIW, LSU is a clear-cut top 3 team if they have average QB play next year. Does that happen? Time will tell.

Besides Philon and Flowers, who else did they lose on defense?
Spaight who no one had heard of until this past season and now he's gonna go pro. We have Robb 'The Wizard' Smith at the helm, I do hate losing those 3 but wow he really worked magic last season so I'm hopeful he'll do it again.

Your offensive style makes life easy on a defensive playcaller. With that said, y'all's defense could, technically, be worse, but your offensive prowess could mask it.

where did he guarantee anything?

While LSU will quickly become Top 10 with improved QB play, it's still a gamble and you have to go with history on the position sadly.
he said quite the opposite

Average QB play. If they had a QB like Wallace, they would be a very tough team to beat for any school.

How's your OL situation looking for next season?

USC is going to start dominating like they did in the Pete Carroll era. They gonna be good.

You do realize that Auburn toyed with LSU last season, correct?

Hahahahaha, I just read the first part. I have the flu. My attention span is non-existent. I was actually agreeing with him, I guess.

Dude, you lost 3 O-Line starters. Plus, Clayborn was M.I.A. last year due to family issues. He barely played which limited his growth. Also, as seen with Fahn Cooper, you can't expect JUCO lineman to come in and dominate. You guys lost premium talent on defense. Thus, your depth is in for a dramatic hit. Mullen hasn't recruited at a level in the two previous seasons that will compensate for those losses. Realistically, you have to expect a drop off and that was evident during the season when the 1B's came in.

Clear cut is strong, but LSU has 2 projected 1st rounders on defense, a top 5 recruiting class in 2015, as well as a more experienced 2014 class that was #2 in the nation. Not to mention a top 10 OL and a RB with Heisman hype. LSU is loaded at every position minus QB, and Harris has all the physical skills to be elite in college.

quote:While true, remember they brought in Jaquay Williams, Josh Harvey-Clemons, Shaw Wiggins and Devonte Fields as transfers (Texas A&M, Georgia and TCU/JUCO). They are the true transfer U of college football, IMO. And Zeke Pike already transferred out of there.
Wow - Louisville lost basically their entire starting lineup. Only returning 4 on both sides of the ball for a program that doesn't recruit at an elite level?
Auburn fixin to eat.
Regardless, Bobby Petrino scares me.

Damnit cas4t, I asked how your offensive line was because I don't know what to expect from them.
Tell me if you return any starters, who could improve, what studs you have replacing starters, any position changes, etc.

3. USC Trojans 2014 record: 9-4, 6-3 Pac-12 Returning starters: 8 offense, 7 defense, 1 special teams Key personnel losses: RB Javorius "Buck" Allen, WR Nelson Agholor, DE Leonard Williams, DE J.R. Tavai, LB Hayes Pullard, FS Gerald Bowman The skinny: USC coach Steve Sarkisian's first full recruiting effort was a rousing success, as the Trojans signed 16 players ranked in the ESPN 300, including No. 1 cornerback Iman Marshall, No. 1 running back Ronald Jones II and No. 1 inside linebacker John Houston Jr. After being hampered by NCAA probation, the Trojans were able to sign a full class of 24 prospects for the first time in four years. They were already starting to build depth and now there's plenty of help on the way. Junior college transfers Isaac Whitney and De'Quan Hampton might give quarterback Cody Kessler a couple more weapons on the perimeter, after Agholor left early for the NFL draft.
I don't know a single player for USC. It just occurred to me that I haven't known a single players name on USC's roster since Matt Barkley was the QB. Ok, Marqise Lee, but my point is I used to know their rosters starting lineups first and last names on both sides of the ball. Now, I couldn't tell you the name of their starting QB.
