Wait, so Florida is a permanent opponent of LSU and not of Alabama, and you're telling me there's a chart that shows LSU plays Florida more often than Alabama?

SHOCKING INFO

So the frick what?

There was a time when LSU fans couldn't fathom an entire football season without playing a SINGLE conference game at night. No one cared when we were asked to compromise our traditions, so we don't really care about your traditions.

And I could really care less what the rest of the conference thinks

Actually you care VERY MUCH what the rest of the conference thinks, as a matter of fact you're dependent on the rest of the conference (or at least a majority) keeping UA/UT annual. When it changes (and it WILL - times change) you will be crying louder than all LSU fans combined, and I will just sit back and...

And the Bama-UT rivalry is a big part of UT's football tradition.

That's just flat out sad, get off Momma's tit.

You know what's going to happen right, they'll change up the schedule and LSU will pick up Tennessee right as they are getting good again, then Spurrier will retire and Bama will pick up South Carolina when they going downhill again.

This is a bit off the BAMA - LSU argument ... but,

does the NCAA require that the 2 division be permanent or can you move them around anytime you want, you just have to have 2 divisions for a champship game , the reason I ask if you can designate division each year. then why not change it up every year making sure the 6 traditional rivaly games ( UGA-AU, AU-UA, UGA-UF, UT-UK, UA-UT, MSU-OM ) and even LSU-UA, are always on the schedule?

Good lord, it doesn't have to be complicated.

Play everyone in your division, rotate the other 2 or 3 conference games equally amongst the teams in the other division. All conference games count the same.

Problem = solved.

In '09 cocks finished FIFTH in the east. That's to go along with #3 UT and #4 KY. Really tough run from the east.

BTW. In '09 LSU faced #1 UF, #2 UGA and #6 Vandy from the east.

I can see why you think bama's schedule was more difficult.

What about '12??

bama played #5 Mizzou and #6 UT.

Do you remember who LSU faced from the east last year?

There is no reason to try and chase the "easy" schedule in the SEC. Try running the table and listening to those idiots at ESPN tell you USC and OU had a tougher schedule. In 2011, UA lost to the only good team on their schedule and still played for the title. IMO - its all BS. I like to play the best teams because I quit watching the pundits years ago. So I miss the hilarious morons that tout teams like they are great (get ready - OSU is going to be up your arse all year)

Do a nine game conference schedule, do away with divisions and SEC CG and crown the champ like they did up until 1992, with the highest ranked going to the Sugar or the most prestigious bowl.

Screw rotating and divisions.

Permanent non-divisional games will not count for divisional titles--Problem Solved!

If you think they give up the SEC Championship Game with its big bucks, you are sadly mistaken.

Giving up a non-divisional game for calculating the divisional titles is a lot cheaper and easier.

When Alabama is playing a scared Mizzou team and Kentucky in so called bridge schedules, something's up...just saying.

I agree; you should keep the Bama-UT rivalry game; just don't count it towards the divisional title.

However, I haven't heard a legitimate reason why that would not solve all the problems associated with Bama, Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia, Florida and LSU complaints.
