So y'all lose a bunch of players on D and in this very thread I see UGA fans predict a possible better D and improvement on D...but god forbid LSU fans be optimistic about returning a bunch of starters on offense and getting a new OC

It is SIMILAR, for reasons that have already been pointed out. Of course they aren't the exact same, they're completely different circumstances. But to say they aren't similar at all is simply choosing to ignore what's been presented.

They both involve football games played on Saturday night?

Yea they're that similar.

Oh, really? You guys are convinced that Cam Cameron is going to pay off huge dividends for you offensively this year. Well, we have a former NFL defensive coach in Todd Granthem....I'm confused. Does getting a proven assistant from the NFL guarantee success or doesn't it?

I'm not an LSU fan. I know that Saban + Smart, Chavis, and Muschamp are better than Todd Grantham. Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Georgia have comparable talent, but when it comes to coaching I'd give Alabama, LSU, and Florida's defensive staffs the nods. Georgia had the 4th best defense in the conference last season. In 2011, nobody cares, but you were 3rd at best and couldn't stop LSU.

I've already pointed out the similarities in what was being said about the 2 games, but if you choose not to read the words that I typed then that's on you.

I think most people are predicting a Clemson win are only doing it for one reason...they can mention individual players and matchups all they want...when most of the predictions for Clemson, a top 10 team, to win by 3...they are only getting the benefit of the doubt because of the home field

It's all good. 2 more hours until kickoff! I'll probably pull an all nighter, so I can do my homework.

That and they ARE a very good team. Our defense is a major question mark. I THINK it will actually be better. We had some players last year that spent more time figuring out where they would be drafted, than paying attention to film and schemes.

Only time will tell. Like I said, i THINK we will win, but I also understand why many on here and elsewhere would think Clemson would win.

-big, early test for UGA on the road

Only because no one thought you were any good last year. Missouri isn't a big test for anyone who thinks they can win the NC. Similar? No.

-home crowd at night that will be jacked

Lol, it's fvcking Missouri and Death Valley. Similar? No.

-unique meeting (missou new to SEC, clemson an old but put on hold rivalry)

WTF does this even mean? Unique meeting, what in the world does that have to do with football on the field. Similar? Who gives a fvck, it means nothing.

quote:

-UGA facing a dangerous offense

Lol, facing a spread offense would be a better description. Missouri was the 80th ranked offense in the country last year. Clemson was the 6th. Similar? No.

It's not my fault your similarities aren't similar.

What's your major? Tough being in college and trying to study and watch games. I was through with that a LOOOOONG time ago. Shoot. I have a son that is done with it now...and a daughter!

My daughter was in the Honors Program at Georgia. VERY smart! (Took after her mother, obviously) We couldn't get her to go to a Georgia football game! She started dating a guy, and he talked her into going in her Junior year. She was hooked, after that! Fall is a GREAT time of year!

Chad Morris is going to throw the entire playbook at Georgia. That's what that clown does against any defense with a pulse.

The fact they are a good team is what puts them in position for the home field advantage to put them over the top of UGA for some people

Not so sure our defense has a pulse, yet! We'll know a little better after the game. Of course, it might die during the game!

Predictable.

What happened to all that unwavering LSU pride I've been hearing about?

It'll be a close game.

UGA pulls out a win with a 60 yard field goal from our back up kicker with only seconds remaining on the clock.

Not an unreasonable pick. It's the wrong pick, tho.

Go UGA / SEC!
