Oh, so logic and sense should be exercised when a UF athlete is involved, but that same courtesy isn't extended to UT? OK then .

You know Goddamn well what I'm talking about. This board jizzed it's collective pants when we had our title 9 lawsuit, ignoring all logic and sense just because it was Tennessee.

Well, I despise the double standard. You may not have a problem with it, but that's because you suck male appendages

Was it sexual harassment or sexual assault?

Neither is okay, but there's a HUGE difference between two and the article quoted uses them interchangeably. One is at least forgivable, the other merits prison time.

Neither, as of right now.

I mean in terms of the allegation. I'm all for letting the process play out before labeling someone a rapist.

But the difference is significant in terms of the accusation alone. Was it a Mettenberger type thing or a Waco type thing? Allegedly?

She accused him of sexual assault, and Treon Harris of attempted sexual assault, whatever the frick that means.

And according to rant law, if it is alleged, it is fact. Unless of course, the accused plays for UF.

Why no criminal charges? If he truly assaulted her, why no UPD or GPD involvement?

Did any of this matter when UT Players were accused of sexual assault?

Don't answer, it's a rhetorical question.

Apparently she didn't go to the cops.

Thanks for clarifying. The quoted portion od the article first says sexual harassment and then sexual assault, which begs the question as to which of the two it is. It's written like they're the same thing, but as we all (hopefully) know the latter is far more serious.

Unwanted attempts at flirting could be considered sexual harassment, whereas assault means physical sexual assault and usually means rape.

The author needs to get his shite together.

ETA: Also, thanks for the briefing on Rant law. I have withdrawn the benefit of the doubt indefinitely.

That's what I heard.

Yes, because UF players have a long history of getting off scott free from crimes such as throwing a paper cup at someone, and barking at a police dog.

Here's your sign...

Stanford had a similar set up IIRC. Except their player was guilty. He did, seem to get a light sentence though. I guess this girl figured something similar could go down at UF.
