I used to really want to keep the UT-Bama rivalry but adding A&M and Missouri have just made a bad situation worse. Its time to end it, make it fair across the board.

Then it shouldn't be to hard to change... or maybe the other schools aren't pussy bitches?

Can you imagine the outrage that would ensue if LSU didn't get a bye week before playing Alabama?

Oh, we were playing at Florida, you remember the National Champion that year, at South Carolina, at Auburn, at Arkansas. Your point? We may have a weak schedule at some point, but not nearly as often as Bama seems to have.

Petrino's first year at Arkansas (they sucked). Auburn was 5-7. South Carolina was not nearly as good as they have become. LSU fans seem to forget that the teams go up and down. Some years what wasn't a tough schedule three years earlier is very difficult. They just seem to be fixated that they have to play Florida every year. We're sorry that UT, Bama, UGA and AU had football traditions and rivalries almost a century before LSU became relevant in football, but the constant bitching about having to play that one game every year is one of the most annoying topics on this board.

there's a lot of retard going on in this thread

the point is not past schedules. yes, the schedule does work in cycles...however, this year and next year are completely arbitrary and were made up with no past or future schedule in mind

that is the source of contention. Georgia was supposed to rotate onto Bama's schedule this year and LSU was supposed to go to Lexington, instead we get SC at home and Bama gets Missouri.

OK fine, I can deal with that...its a one year thing, just sucks for us. then 2013 schedule released...and now LSU plays at UGA and Bama plays Kentucky?

its complete bullshite and everyone knows it. you can't call it "bad luck of a rotation" when the rotation was completely made up.

Where were you in 2008 when we played at ark, at tenn, at LSU, at Georgia, Clemson

Tennessee, Arkansas, and Clemson were all weak as frick in 2008.

LSU wasn't all that good either honestly, even though their record was better. Horrible QB play and HORRIBLE defense.

Georgia had a lot of talent in 2008, but ended up having major injury problems. I won't call them a bad team though, they were pretty decent.

Let's say the SEC switches to three divisions. The East, West, and LSU. LSU gets to choose their SEC opponents by August 1st of every year with the option to drop and add schools on October 1st of every year. How'd that be?

No need for that. Typically LSU plays a good OOC schedule so if we get a lucky break with the conference schedule, we'll pick it up with a game or 2 against Oregon, WVU or a Washington type team.

Good try though.

I don't understand why Bama fans get so defensive when we bring up their easy schedule this year and next year.

I would be excited as frick if the SEC gave us that schedule and rub it in the other teams face, but I would also acknowledge it for what it is.

The "bridge schedules" have been very kind to Bama. It's a fact.

I much rather have played UGA at home this year like we were supposed to than go to that dump in Columbia, MO.

This thread just continues to prove what the SEC already knows: LSU fans are scared pinko commies who want everything to be fair and equal. Breaking news, life's not fair.

You guys got onto us for bitching about the six SEC teams that had bye weeks before playing us in 2010. Please don't come down hard on us for returning the favor.

Don't try man. You'll be called butthurt and told to stop crying. God forbid a bama fan just recognize it and own it, It's clear as day to anyone not wearing crimson.
