I don't really care either way but MSU fans need to get the idea of ole miss coaches paying players out of their head. That did not happen. If anyone believes that an ole miss coach was responsible for paying players while the NCAA is on campus you are foolish. They probably bent the rules on the opportunity fund maybe but I guarantee you they were covering their arse. The major sanctions will be tied to the ACT stuff and is pretty bad.

You sure you're not the casual football fan.

In the 20 years prior to Carroll USC had 12 top 20 finishes, 6 PAC 12 championships and 14 Bowl appearances, record 110-50-3

Investigation wasn't almost done. It was part of the whole investigation. Reggie Bush and OJ Mayo were working for a licensed NFL agent. And were considered to have forfeited their amateurism status. Pete Carroll actually is the one proven to have gotten them the jobs. Then Pete hired an ex-NFL player as coach on his staff, which the school was unaware of and was not on their staff payroll. which is illegal. Carroll never hired his own lawyer he had already left for the NFL prior to sanctions coming out

The NCAA never had an original offer of 1 post season ban and loss of schollys 6 over 2. They came out with 10 over 3 and 2 post season bans. And vacated the 2005 season because, Reggie Bush had been considered ineligible. Which USC appealed. His mother and stepfather were cited from the NCAA for getting a free house as well as other marketing benefits. Never said anything about cash.

The USC and OM investigations are about the same as Las Vegas and Starkvegas

Your right. There are some major differences between the USC & OM investigation that you pointed out. There is one glaring difference that you failed to mention. Bush wasn't stupid enough to admit taking cash from a Coach and that "He messed up" on national TV . That being said, I don't think Las Vegas could compete with the show Ole Miss put on at this years NFL draft.

So the pinnacle of ole Miss football post integration is 10-3 and a washed up sugar bowl?

Remember when everyone said the Tunsil stuff was simply "because he didn't turn in a loaner car in on time"..........that was the story people stuck to, until the NCAA came out with all the facts.

Same thing is happening here, everyone is trying to tell us nothing else will be found.......and that's fine.......but I'll wait until they say "our investigation is over". Because as much as the Ole Miss faithful keep telling us, it has been much less than what comes out.

I, for one, am curious to see if anything comes out prior to SEC media days, as rumors are abundant that someone is sitting on a story about Ole Miss recruiting. Stay tuned, it could get real interesting very soon.

I doubt it. I have many connections here in Memphis. Supposedly tunsil has agreed to do an interview with the NCAA. Trust me it's not to throw ole miss under the bus. He does not have to do it. The news is a piece supposedly written by forde or Wolken who have an obvious agenda against ole miss. They both predicted the death penalty and it's not happening and are trying to save face. The MSU scout recruiting guy is supplying them with information but it's not going to matter. Ole Miss will lose a significant amount of scholarships but seriously doubt there's a bowl ban. I am not an ole miss fan but am a Freeze fan. He really is a great coach and will win wherever he goes. I know him from his days at briarcrest.

That is a heck-of-a point. If you believe in OM conspiracy theorists, they believe all these so called leaks are done intentionally prior to big events. Such as right before signing day and at the draft. It makes sense that another bomb might drop at media days.

Are these the same people who thought it was a good idea for him to address the media on draft night? If so, this could be alot of fun.

USC is one of the all time great football programs and is in Southern California. A pretty good place for recruits

Ole Miss is a no mark football program in freaking Mississippi.

Not even a comparison. You know ole miss was cheating like hell. Everyone knew it

Amazing what a utility bill, McD's and basically not paying for an air BnB can do for your program nowadays.

I never said what I did or did not think went on.

But that's the worst that the ncaa is accusing our staff of doing directly to the players.

People(like you) just seem to be madder'n shite that the ncaa couldn't find any actual pay for play instances of cheating like everyone has been shouting for the past 3 years.
