Fournette was and will be in a system that shares the workload and is extremely unlikely to put up gaudy stats.

This is also why he will enter the NFL with less wear and tear.

LOL if you don't think Gurley and Chubb were playign against run-stopping defenses every game as well. Hutson Mason was our QB, one of our top 2 WRs sat the season out, and Malcolm Mitchell was brought along slowly the first half of the year coming back from injury.

This board better hope LF doesn't explode this year and out-produce Chubb. If he does, the influx of LSU fans coming here to start threads about it will make this place a nightmare.

I don't expect Fournette to have better numbers, but if he does this place is going to see an avalanche of shitty threads.

Fournette's stats will never match Chubb's stats. This is part of the reason that all of the Fournette winning a Heisman talk was dumb. He won't get the carries under Miles. Which by the way I have zero problem with.

LF will not have better numbers then Chubb no matter what. Because late in games when the D is the weakest, our carries will go to a new fresh back. UGA will pound Chubb still. This is one reason I think LF has no chance at Heisman success. However, I think it helps his draft stock

We're comparing 2 football players with the same length of career at the same position playing in the same league. Stats are a pretty damn good indicator.

This is such hilarious deflection. You know good and well if LF had the best stats in the league you'd all point to that as to why he's the best. But since he's not and doens't, "oh, well stats are irrelevant".

He very well could.....

Nick Chubb could get banged up or Sony Michel and Keith Marshall could sap carries. Should be fun to watch if they both stay healthy.

I wouldn't say never, it's highly unlikely though.

That's exactly what we did last year. Gurley was our #1 with chubb and sony coming in as well.

I'll admit that Chubb did get a higher workload due to Gurley being suspended/hurt, but we're not going to Herschel him for 40 carries a game. People forget Sony was ahead of chubb on the depth chart the first quarter of the season last year, so he will absolutely get his carries. We also have keith marshall and a very promising redshirt that will get carries as well.

Fact is though, when you have a back as good as Chubb (or lf), they SHOULD get most of teh carries.

The population of Georgia is greater than Louisiana. The Population of New York is greater than Boston. Georgia fans have to like Yankees better than red sox.

Chubb is better than Fournette and Georgia fans cannot be Red Sox Fans also.

Chubb = Yankees
Fournette = red sox

Chubb had a game last year with 40 carries correct? I mean he was butt fricking the defense at the end because they were tired of his big arse taking it to them. That is the type of system that puts up Gaudy RB numbers. On the other hand, we jizz in our pants if Les lets LF get to 20 carries

How about the efficiency with which both teams passed the ball

As to this point, this year we're breaking in a brand new QB who based on previous data will throw quite a few interceptions. QB play for both teams should be about on par this year, roughly.

Georgia fans didn't play LSU last year so I don't expect them to know this. Let me put it together for you. Mason completed almost 68% of his passes for 2168. He threw 21 touchdowns and 4 picks. Rating was 155.7

Jennings on the other hand completed 48.9% of his passes for 1611 yards. He threw 11 touchdowns and 7 picks. Rating was 118.3

Who do you think was more efficient and more productive?

Holy shite and the complain about Mason? Talk about spoiled We would hold sacrifices for those numbers

This may keep the Rantards at bay. Somewhat.

If this is the case and LF puts up better numbers I'm going to avoid this place for a while. It will be a complete shitshow.

Incorrect.

He also had 5 games last year with less than 10 carries.

Over the full course of the 13 game season, NC had 32 more carries than LF, or an average of less than 3 more carries per game. Yet still had almost a full 2 YPC average higher.

Go ahead and take a look at their freshman stats and I am not reaching at all. By the way, I didn't saying they were them. I meant more like it is brewing, or in other words it's possible. Settle down ag.

32 carries is over two games worth to Fournette. So just know that that means that Chubb played the equivalent of two more games in terms of carries last year. It is an interesting point.

Potential to improve is one thing, but I don't see any reasonable, rational, logical reason why anybody would proclaim that as of right now in summer of 2015 that fournette is the better back. He isn't.

Even LSU fans don't believe it.
